Cancel culture is related primarily to Facebook and Twitter. When the folks running those sites prevent someone from posting, or remove their data, they are "cancelled". If you stop printing a book, like Dr. Seuss's books, you have cancelled the information from appearing anywhere. If you remove vestiges of history from being seen, such as flags, statues, and names on buildings, those artifacts or remembrances are no longer able to be seen. Some of these women will make claims that can't be substantiated. It doesn't mean they are lying but it does mean that we can't/shouldn't convict the accused...even in the court of public opinion. I know it sucks but that is reality. Sometimes bad people get away with bad things for lack of evidence.

I can agree to that approach with one caveat. At some point volume of accusations plays a role. That applies to Cuomo, Trump, Bill Cosby or Harvey Weinstein. The volume of claims against each leads me to believe where there is smoke there is definite fire. Biden/Kavanaugh situations need more investigation. Sadly, Tara Reid is a loon who has extreme credibility issues. Kavanaugh's accuser is a he said she said. I'm certain she believes her story but not enough evidence at this point to hold him accountable.

Al Franken got screwed in this mess. There is no evidence he did anything other than try to be funny which comedians are expected to be dancing monkeys if you believe Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Jim Belushi etc. Consider him a friendly casualty of #MeToo.

I think it’s well known that Trump harassed some women. It’s also well known that he cheated on his wives, and he made sexist remarks on a fairly regular basis. Trump didn’t run as a choir boy. Everybody knew what they were getting character-wise. It’s sort of like having a Kennedy in the GOP.

Gov. Cuomo Sexually Harassed Multiple Women In Violation Of State And Federal Law, AG Investigation Finds

The stunning results of New York Attorney General Letitia James‘ investigation of sexual harassment allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo are in. James and two lead investigators outlined their findings of the report on Tuesday. They include evidence that the governor harassed multiple women, both current and former state employees, and women inside and outside of state government.
“That Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, and in doing so, violated federal and state law,” said James.
The attorney general said her investigators, former federal prosecutor Joon Kim and employment lawyer Anne Clark, spoke to 179 witnesses over the course of five months, and reviewed more than 74,000 pieces of evidence. The 11 victims, she said, were often young women in and out of state government.

We do hear 9 and now we hear 11. Poor Democratic governor.
