Thanks for the link. Now someone will need to explain to me the BetMGM title odds. (although I assume the +900 for Texas is way better than +15000 for Princeton).

How about the dude from Florida Atlantic going in for a showboat slam in the final seconds when the teams had already stopped playing and other players were going over to congratulate each other and shake hands - and then he blew the open dunk anyway.

So far 1 out of every 4 games has been an upset. Gotta love the NCAA tourney. Unless you're one of the 12 teams that have been upset.

In a nutshell, American odds began shifting a few years back to match overseas and online nomenclature.

This is basically 9/1. Put up $100 to win $900 plus the original C-note. The computers do the math on other amounts.

A minus number in game lines tends to denote a favorite, and you would put up that amount to win $100 plus the original amount. There was one noted bettor who put down $60K on Purdue at -4500 in the game they lost. Looking for thin profit margin but got his *** handed to him...

In the title odds, the futures bet is basically a four-game parlay equivalent...except with a worse number. Not exactly a sucker play, but not the best of plays IMO.

Like someone predicted, another Rick Barnes tourney choke job.

Except Florida Atlantic beat Tennessee and Gonzaga is up 9 with 1:48
not really a big difference either way. I was thinking I would rather be in K state's bracket, if we beat Xavier we face Houston. Who would you rather play, Houston or TN/FAU at the time of the post. KSU, a 3, is the highest seed in their bracket. a 1,2 and 3 are left in our bracket.

UCLA/Zags looked all UCLA at the half but UCLA went over 11 minutes in the 2nd half and still almost won tks to three Zag bone head plays in the last three minutes.

"I got to Kansas City on a Friday ..."

Sorry, couldn't resist. This has been running through my head ever since I heard that our Sweet 16 game would be in Kansas City.

Astonishing to think that this movie is almost 70 years old.

Btw, it was filmed in and around Sonoita, Arizona (which is probably a lot more photogenic than the actual Oklahoma).

I'm glad Tennessee lost because I want us to understand why Rick is no longer our coach. We want more. He's a great guy (I met him once in a pizza joint and he made eye contact, walked over and introduced himself to me. It was amazing how he works a room) but he peaked and I think the program was burnt out. Rodney does not need to be compared to Rick.

I also wanted Tennessee to lose because from what I've read, they play bully ball and I don't like that. I am a purist and don't like palming the ball (cross-over dribble), traveling and physical play that levels the playing field for a less talented team. That's not basketball. I want the refs to break bully ball teams by fouling their players out until they get it.

Understand that.
You know I am too ignorant of the whole concept
Plus I don't think I could ever bet against the Horns even to win a bet.

Man, the team’s remaining are all looking good. We’re gonna have to bring it.

No doubt. All the way to the buzzer. I thought we'd have to bring it in the first round. Any team can beat you if you have that bad shooting game against their out of body experience. You just can't assume they will choke. We have to shut them down on D and hope we can at least make 40% of our threes. We can't assume Rice is going to hit the first seven of the game or whatever he did in round one.
