Most Horribly Miscast Movie Roles

Matt in Amistad was actually pretty good. Good enough to forget it's him.
All of this pales in comparison to the stage production of Hamlet that starred Keanu Reeves.
Has anyone mentioned George Clooney as Batman?

So you are going to have Shia Lebouf, who was just 3 or 4 years into his role on that Disney sitcom, who was, at most 15 years old when they would have offered him the part be spiderman??

Yeah, that’s a great idea, have a 15 year old whos acting credits include a bunch of kid based shows play the part of an 18-19 year old superhero/photographer.

I agree that Shia is a good actor, but he wasn’t an option in 2000 when the first film was cast/filmed.

I don’t know if Heath Ledger was a joke, but he would have been terrible as a hero type.

I will concede on Kirsten Dunst not being a great choice as a supermodel, but I still think the way they have presented her in the series shes been a good choice.

Like, don't bite me bro....

surprised no mention of leo dicaprio in gangs of new york. he's a good actor, but that was a major blunder casting him for that movie.

mcconaughey is so bad in everything that he's hard to watch without feeling embarrassed for him (but what a life he's got!!).

I submit to you William Shatner's role in the movie Comanche Blanco...the movie itself is horrible but what makes it even worse is his acting in duel roles (he plays both a cowboy and an indian). The fight to the death scene where he fights himself is especially awful.

Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson in all the Back to the Future movies. Not that they didn't do a good job of acting, but having people who were 25-30 years old - and looked like it - trying to pass themselves off as high school students didn't work too whole. Thankfully, the movies are entertaining enough that I really didn't care.

C'mon Statalyzer, get your head in the game, getcha getcha getcha head in the game. I suppose I'll save that for the thread about most annoying stuck in your head songs in a movie that your daughter made you watch.

It is The Conqueror hands down. John Wayne as a Mongol is hard to beat. This movie had an "A" list cast for a 50's movie and was a major flop. William Conrad was John Wayne's Mongol brother in the movie.

I don't think Brosnan as Bond was miscast. I think he would have been, maybe not great, but ok if the scripts didn't suck. That was the bigger problem.

The winner is Glenn Close as the Other Woman in Fatal Attraction. Fine actress, but also the worst looking, unsexiest female movie star of all time. No way Michael Douglas, or anyone, for that matter, would cheat on the lyrically beautiful Anne Archer with Ms. Close and her ratty hair and flapjack boobs.
