I deal with the major carriers daily. United is very bad. Congress passed the no surprises act which gave all the negotiating power to the carriers. While our costs skyrocket, the carriers continue to reduce reimbursements. You can’t negotiate with them as you have to be in network to get hospital contracts.

And I don't think we're there yet, or even that close overall. The masses are well-fed (over-fed), housing is getting bad for low earners but the vast majority have a roof over their heads, employment--easy to get a job, not so easy to make enough to live comfortably--but there are not 10% of the US population roaming from town-to-town looking for work, inflation steals from all.

Despite the rose smelling above, in the specific segment of health insurance, we're right at the edge of the cliff.
