In the same vein as @Chop, here's who we are playing. #1 is a good ranking, I must admit, but

Here's the preview Baseball preview: No. 1 LSU - University of Texas Athletics

Midweek Primer: No. 1 LSU visits Texas tonight

"UCLA transfer right-hander Thatcher Hurd is projected to take the bump for the Tigers, and Texas is expected to counter with 6-foot-4, 215-pound hard-throwing right-hander Lebarron Johnson Jr.

Hurd lasted only two innings and allowed four runs - all earned - on six hits, walked three and fanned three in his debut against Southern. Christian Little spelled him and picked up the win in an 18-4 victory over Southern."

Hurd was really good at UCLA, but he suffered from back problems. LSU took the chance on Hurd. Hurd had a rough start against Southern.

Thatcher Hurd

Set to take the mound against us tonight for LSU.
Below are his stats from when he was at::ucla:

1.06 ERA
48 strikeouts
10 walks

in 34.0 innings
Was the #1 RHP in California high schools

He had a back injury (Pars defect) that he’s now recovering from. A real stud before the injury.

Southern drilled him. And Southern is pretty so-so at best.

I'm expecting a different pitcher tonight than the one that faced Southern. Little over an hour from first pitch. lets get ready to ruuuummmbbblllleeee!

starting lineup:

This ump does not give strike calls high in the zone. He doesn’t like them coming in high.

This is ridiculous. This ump’s strike zone is about the tightest I’ve seen.

Well, as long as he’s consistent with both teams.

Andre Dawson looking throw from the outfield to home plate right there.
Kennedy gunned him down.

Ok. LSU can field. 2B for LSU makes a great grab and throw going to his right.

0-0 on to the third.

Fly out to LF
Strikeout
Single up the gut
Fly out to CF
No runs
For LBJ and the Texas D in the top of the 3rd

0-0
