South Carolina at Texas

The Gamecocks finished 33-2 last year and made it to the NCAA Sweet 16, and while only two starters return, four more letter winners come back looking to add a 14th NCAA appearance to the program’s history.
With nine players returning—two of which were 2015-16 starters—preparing to play alongside five newcomers, the Longhorns look to be a real force on the court this year. They haven’t made a Final Four appearance since the 2002-03 season, but that may change with the pack they have this year.
Both teams finished ranked within the top 10 last year, and this matchup could prove to be interesting, especially if these two teams climb into the top five, which is definitely a possibility. With talent abundant, this may turn out to be a must watch game.
I would say that she is a bit too small to play in the league, and would be the shortest player ever to do so. I think her and coach know that, so hopefully they are willing to do whatever it takes to win with THIS team rather than having an eye on the future. If that means playing more 2 guard, then so be it.If Brooke has any aspirations of playing pro, whether the WNBA or overseas, she needs more experience as a PG. Nothing says she can't be a scoring PG ala BU exe Sims and, likely, Alexis Jones this year at Baylor.
Actually, she wouldn't be. Angel Goodrich is a 5' 4" PG (Kansas) and has played in the WNBA for a few seasons for Tulsa (3rd Round Pick) and Seattle. Goodrich was solid at Kansas but not in the same class with Brooke.I would say that she is a bit too small to play in the league, and would be the shortest player ever to do so. I also think that Brooke helps the team more by playing shooting guard. She's the best shooter on the team and needs to take as many shots as she can for this team. Tasia and sug will have to be able to run the point guard position well enough for Brooke to do that.I would say that she is a bit too small to play in the league, and would be the shortest player ever to do so. Did anyone attend the scrimmage today?
I too was hoping to get a report from the scrimmage from a fellow HornFan. Here's a little video snippet from Texas WBB via Twitter.
I'm not doing anything until I watch Stanford play on Friday. Lili Thompson, who would have been a senior this year, opted out of playing for some reason. Not an injury as far as I have read. She is in school and will graduate with the rest of her class. She was a two time All PAC 12 honoree and likely would have been a three time honoree as well as being in the running for AA honors and the Nancy Lieberman Award. I don't think they have another experienced PG right off the top of my head.I need a Tuesday WBB fix.
