I took a look at UConn's schedule just to see how Geno scheduled knowing that he no longer has the "big 3" on his roster:
Nov 14 - @ Florida State
Nov 17 - Baylor
Nov 20 - LSU
Nov 22 - Dayton
Nov 29 - Chattanooga
Dec 1 - DePaul
Dec 4 - Texas (Jimmy V Classic in Uncasville)
Dec 7 - @ Notre Dame
Dec 11 - @ Kansas State
Dec 19 - Ohio State
Dec 21 - @Nebraska
Dec 29 - @ Maryland
Feb 13 - South Carolina
All but three teams are from the power 5 conferences. And, DePaul was a Sweet 16 team last season and an annual Top 25 program. That leaves Chattanooga and Dayton as the only opponents from smaller conferences.
While we might not be ready to handle a schedule like that night in and night out, it should be the goal in the next few years if the program continues to get stronger.
