Lent

I desire to know whether I belong to The One that you have been mentioning.

Is this one of those movie posts that crop up on HornFans every so often?

I'm guessing "The Matrix"?

Did I win?

It's more like one of those "I'm right and everybody else is wrong." posts...topped off with "I have to have the last word."

I only wish to release things that are untrue. And likewise I only want to embrace what is true.

What did you mean earlier when you said that you were a "recovering Catholic"? Recovering in what sense, exactly? Recovering from what?

longtex,
so it comes out that you believe god is in everything and/or is everything.. welcome pantheist, or panenthiest.

There are many who believe something very different. That there is a God, and that there is a creation made by the Creator.
Actually, if you know much about the Christian concept of God, you will know that it works quite nicely with quantum physics thought.

'Hey, let's replace the Judeo-Christian idea of God with a notion of "The One" that validates everything we want to think about ourselves, and that, in the process, eliminates the problem of sin by denying that anyone or anything can be separated from The One. And that way, we can all be gods ourselves.'

This is a recipe for egomania.

longtex,
one adjective you used might could be discussed. 'Limited' I am assuming that you would call an separate God 'limited' because this God wouldn't include all that is created.

I will say that from my very very amaturish studies of physics, a God outisde of the space time continuem is the only thing that could make any sense to me and fits with the Christian concept of God. God is Creator and exists outside of time and the created order. This God can act in time/space and has personality as well. God is Triune, yet one, and thus is unified, but also exists eternally in relationship.
Just some thoughts...
