Lache Seastrunk's Favorites

Puddle, it won't be a dream about getting a couple commits. Rumor is we get 2. Which is shocking. I'm thinking White and Matthews.

There are so many opinions on Lache but from those who know him personally, I've never heard anything other than he's a good, well liked, decent kid who's doing his best to deal with a difficult situation. I can't imagine what all this attention is like.

As for anyone who can look at the clothes or hat he's wearing or listen to an out of context comment and suddenly know what school he's likely to attend, my hat's off to you because you've got some kind of special talent. That kind of psychic ability shouldn't be wasted on recruiting, you ought to be on Wall Street or in Vegas.

If I was a recruit I'd hope that the fan bases of the schools I was considering would be behind me 100%. What do some of you hope to gain from all the negativity? For crying out loud, leave the guy alone and let him make up his own mind. He'll let everyone know where he's going to school when HE'S ready, not when we're ready. And that's the way it ought to be.

I love Lache. Did anyone else see him at the Spring game?

He was wearing a Texas hoody and sitting a couple of rows in front of us and the McCoy family.

He is not a Temple grad yet. I hope he does decide to join the monster class being assembled at the University of Texas.

I don't subscribe to the pay sites and I don't have any inside info from THS, but I get the feeling the pendulum is swinging back toward the good guys in the recruitment of Seastrunk, if indeed it ever really swung another way.

One day we will get another one of these 5 star RBs who just want to come to Texas and run behind our massive OL coming in.

Hey if he had a good time at Auburn then more power to him. And if he chooses to go there, then best of luck. I don't think thats what ends up happening (I think its Texas, LSU, or USC) despite the recent comments (seems to have been a lot of comments with new fav every time), but who really knows (other than him and his family).

I do know this: At the end of the day, I and most of the UT fan base would love to see him in burnt orange. Think its a great fit. But I hope he chooses what he really thinks is the best fit for him.

I've stated in this thread, and still believe, that the kid ends up at Texas (and if he doesn't go to Auburn, that's where I'd rather him go of the others on the list).

Laphroaig10 has turned this thread into an embarrassing trainwreck. I think the moderators should yank it altogether.

As those who have been following this thread may notice, many of the posts on it have been deleted.

The thread was derailed by a post regarding a concern over a remark calling Auburn "Alabama A&M" being a racist remark. There is one and only one action available to posters who have concerns that a post violates the Posting Guidelines of this site, which racist remarks most certainly do. The one and only response to such a post is to call it to the moderators' attention via the Notify Moderator button. Posting replies calling attention to such violations is also a violation of our policy.

In this instance, however, the concern was unfounded and incorrect. I find that there was no racist intent or even a significant likelihood of misunderstanding regarding the Alabama A&M remark. That remark is certainly meant to be an insult to Auburn by equating it to Texas A&M, but it not racist in any way. It happens that there is an Alabama A&M which is a traditionally black college, but that is irrelevant to the remark.

Also according to policy, all of the follow up remarks regarding the issue were inappropriate. The only action that any user should take in such cases is to call the posts to the moderators' attention via the Notify Moderator button. Threads become trainwrecks because people keep posting about the wreckage. Ignoring it and letting the moderator handle it keeps such things from getting worse.

I apologize to Mr. Seastrunk for the derailment of this thread and hope that it will return to a discussion of his college choices, preferably without the attacks on his character that have also brought this thread down. Whatever his choice, I wish him the best in the future.

I expect this thread to continue to be a discussion of Mr. Seastrunk. If anyone has questions or concerns regarding HornFans policy, bring them up with me privately via PM or email at [email protected]. Further posts regarding our policy or violations thereof will be considered violations of HornFans policy and will result in the post being deleted and other administrative action.

It's easy to picture the Horns utilizing Lache and moving him all over the field. He's a game changer and a homerun hitter extraordinaire. Any program would be fortunate to have a young man of his character and ability.

A slightly-lighter Reggie Bush who doesn't need any special housing arrangements, and can hang on to the ball better. Seastrunk could line up in various places, depending on the play called. He wouldn't need twenty five carries a game running the ball to make a huge difference, and scare the bejabbers out of defensive coordinators.

I think with an explosive player like Lache, you need to be creative and find ways to get him the ball in space. Not saying he can't carry the ball consistently, but screens, reverses, even special teams, he's a special talent and can go the distance on any play.

"Marcus Lattimore (Duncan, S.C./James F. Byrnes) confirmed that Auburn is his new leader after an unofficial visit to the school during the weekend, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports. "

Hopefully this will turn Lache away from Auburn a bit.

Lattimore

Here's hoping Lattimore issues a quick and solid verbal to play for War Eagle in '10. We really need Seastrunk's talent in our backfield, and for him to stay in the Lone Star State (but not Collie Station).
