Lache Seastrunk

You guys think Lache has a decent vertical?

That fence behind him is probably six feet tall. Clearly, more than half his body is above the six foot mark.

And he is only going to be a jr.

Wow.

Bevo Incognito, I've enjoyed your posts over the years but I've got to say Alex de Large nailed it on Lache's leaping abilities. You've got to keep in mind both camera angle and perspective when trying to judge the height of that jump. Remember, 1)the farther things are in the distance, the smaller they look(that fence is a number of yards away from Lache. He would have to be jumping right next to the fence to judge it accurately. 2)He is on the same vertical plane with the building's wall which looks to be about 10-12' high and he is clearly head and shoulders above where the wall meets the roof. 3)The camera is not at the same height as the top of the fence(which it would need to be if you really wanted to judge this accurately). Nevertheless, I agree with your basic thought, the dude seems to defy gravity. I'm praying we see him in a Longhorn uniform soon.

I'm certainly no insider, but I have been hearing conflicting information. Probably not what you want to hear, but I think a "wait and see" approach is probably the best idea at the moment.

I sure would have liked to have got him but if it is true he is wanting to go to LSU I wish he would just announce it and move on. It is not to good to keep us hanging on as what happened to Rouse and RP.

It is 18 mos till signing day for him. His family can see him play ever home game at UT,or they can make a 700 mile round trip to Baton Rouge. LSU will struggle without Dorsett and a QB. Hopefully ,Texas will have a good to great year. I refuse to let myself sweat out where a 16 y.o. is going to college. He is obviously ,from reports ,infatuated with LSU, but that is what happens to all 16 y.o.'s., they fall in and out of infatuation. Now if he has been a die hard LSU fan is whole life, that is another thing. Think John Brantley, caught up in the moment. Now when they are 17, I'll start sweating.

Not sure about physics, but I think it has something to do with firmament, as in:

this most excellent canopy, the air, look you,
this brave o'erhanging

firmament, this majestical roof
strunk with golden sea

Lache is touching the face of God, as in

Oh! Lache has slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
He's topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind he trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out his hand, and touched the face of God.

When did LSU enter the picture or why interest there? Wasn't Lache a die hard Longhorn growing up but he was also going to keep his options open by at least visiting a few other schools (OU). Why all of a sudden is LSU a draw/leader especially for what seems to be for so many "die hard" Longhorn fans as of late.

Perhaps if that guy on 1530 in the afternoon talks about this kid more or if this thread gets any longer then he will sign with Texas.

If he loves his state, he will choose a school in Texas. You can't beat UT in what it has to offer him, but if he likes the state of Louisiana better (than the state of Texas) then LSU is the place for him.

If true, that's a shame. We'll miss our share of studs because of this policy, but I'd rather avoid the appearance of impropriety.

If this is true and not just bs heard from some fan, the NCAA needs to be notified in a hurry. This kid could end up killing his career if this is true.
