KSU—We Won the Series at #23 KSU

And here's Galvan.

Knock it to Iowa!

(actually a base hit would score 1, so that would be fine as well...)

D Kennedy is up.

And he is now batting North of the Mendoza Line----big development for our 2B.

Ha!

E by their SS (maybe--hard play)

Galvan scores.

Kennedy rounds first and take second.

21-11 Us.

Strategy -- Boehm has gone far enough tonight that we wouldn't use him tomorrow. With that in mind, let Boehm finish this one out. Save Fontenot, Tumis, Shaw, Lummis, etc. for tomorrow to relieve Grubbs.

Coach disagrees with Chop. He's bringing in Tumis now. Boehm was ON A ROLL, I would have let him roll on until this one is done.

Sooooooooooooooo, guys who played at high levels (higher than high school...), we're not in the CWS or Super Regionals, etc. Is Boehm considered available for an inning or two tomorrow in this regular season game? I would say yes, if he's needed.

Tumis has freakishly nasty stuff--best on our staff IMHO. But if he shows a loss of control tonight, pull him sooner rather than later.

Yeah with a 10 run lead, perhaps saving Boehm so u can use him tomorrow is the angle here.
That's probably what he's thinking. And unless Tumis really screws the pooch in the ninth, he'll be good for an inning or two tomorrow as well.

Tumis is a boom-or-bust sort of pitcher here as a True Freshman thus far.

He's got some of the best "stuff" we've seen in years. As he grows and mentally develops his game, he could turn into a monster on the mound. For now, it's boom or bust for this talented True Freshman.

At least Tumis is throwing strikes. Now u may say duh with a 10 run lead he is supposed to and I agree but that hasnt always been automatic for us this year.
