KSU fans

I need to chill?

Seriously, I need to chill?

Not when you and the rest of you wannabe purple power-towlers called our team cruddy after we spanked your purple asses just five days ago.

And now you want me to calm down.

You KSUcks fans crack me up.

Only call that I would've been livid about if I were a K-State fan was that "shooting" foul on the perimeter in which D.J. clearly leaned in and "created the contact." Brutal call.

But K-State had a few lemons go in its favor, too. For instance, a Wildcat defender clearly kicked the ball, which went into the waiting hands of a teammate--no call. Then, on the other end and on during the same sequence, Beasley went over the back yet UT (I think Atchley) was whistled for the foul.

So the ineptness extended to both sides of the court.

I didn't think that outside shot was such a bad call. DJ got the defender to react and took advantage. I thought the announcers were wrong.

The one that I think KSU had a complaint was on a driving layup where a KSU defender swiped at the ball and got called for the foul and counted the basket. The replay looked like he got all ball. Of course anytime you swat at the ball the call is likely to me made even if there is no contact.

More defense of the KSU basketball tradition.

Sweet 16's: KSU 15 (Texas 9)

Elite 8's: KSU 11 (Texas 6)

Final Fours: KSU 4 (Texas 3)

I'm not trying to pick a fight with Longhorn fans, but to dismiss the KSU basketball tradition is uneducated. One could argue they have the 3rd best basketball tradition in the Big 12. It has just been missing in recent years.

Booing the whole ******* game long does not mean that you "care," or that you're good fans.

KSU had nobody show up tonight other than Beasley. I'll bet if you subtract out his shots, the rest of the team shot about 25% (too lazy to do the math). Meanwhile Atchley was hitting shots, DJ was hitting shots, Abrams was hitting shots . . .

None of that had anything to do with officiating.

Yeah, gotta say there must be some young ones on the board tonight, or at least some folks unfamiliar with Big 8 basketball. While not a huge power, KState has a good deal of bball history to be proud of. It's just gigantically overshadowed by their instate brethren (and has been gone for 15+ years), but it's there.

When an offensive player isn't even trying to shoot but is just intentionally throwing his arms and or body into a defender, a good ref won't give him that call unless the defender was just totally out of control and going to whack him anyway no matter how he jumped.

But that's still just 1 call.

19 pf (TX) to 24 pf (KSU). KSU fans acted like every call was going against them. The extra 5 were probably in the last minute when KSU was forced to foul. The fans did whine a lot. So did the coach.

Oh well, good guys won.

KSU has 152 less wins than Texas in 3 more years of playing basketball, so consider me not that impressed with their basketball tradition.

i was thinking the same thing about their booing being over the top. but then i recalled feeling the same way about the games in norman and stillwater and wondered if I was just being too sensitive.
