Class rank / GPA is an almost useless measure of someone's intelligence or value to society.

I'd stick with "John McCain is old".

There is valid concern there. My grandmothers could not be Presidents. They're sharp, but their minds are not ready for that role any more. My grandfathers are dead.

I don't personally care what his grades were. However, if the roles were reversed, I'd already have received several dozen emails from Republican acquaintances and friends.
