Presidents don't wield the power they are supposed to on paper. The government is run by the professional bureaucrats throughout the Federal apparatus. Trump did some good things on the margins. But what he really needs to do is fire half the bureaucrats and abolish multiple federal agencies.

Good luck with getting that through Congress. A president can’t just do away with agencies or laws he doesn’t like. He has to have the help of the Congress. Like when the Mexicans declined to pay for the big beautiful wall and the Congress couldn’t/didn’t/wouldn’t help out

The President actually has lots of authority over head count of the federal agencies.
 
Always remember that doctors are nothing more than people, and people love money. They'll justify their actions just like anybody else caught doing something that average people says is wrong. "Do no harm" may have initially be true, but now it's a cover so non-doctors don't ask too many questions.

Everybody likes to make money, but I think most rank and file physicians are well-intentioned, good people trying to treat patients the best they can. But is there a small group of very corrupt and very greedy doctors out to harm children for money and/or ideology? Yes. In fact, one of the military doctors I've encountered fits that description.

You can swap out physicians with just about any profession, and it's true. Not politician, of course, but just about any profession.

The program, which has not been announced to the public, appears to be a response to a February 2022 Human Rights Watch report about dozens of Cameroonians deported between 2019 and 2021 and then allegedly mistreated by their government. An estimated 80 to 90 Cameroonians were deported during that period of time.
