Joe Biden Accomplishment Thread

I’d make a more harsh comment but SH and Bubba might have me banned. I’ll just propose that I fear Biden is wrecking the foundation.

And, of course, nothing has changed during that 67 year period.....
He said it was unheard of. I merely pointed out that I heard it. That the country is rushing to communism is a right wing fright special of long standing.
A lot has changed in that time. Blacks can sit down and eat at the same restaurants in Texas as the rest of us now. They even let them go to college now if they are good athletes.
I tell you the country is headed towards the abyss

only a true patriot with bone Spurs can save us now.

Nixon and Eisenhower both gave Rs a bad name in my book. Eisenhower was good in some ways, but they both contributed to government growth and acceptance and socialist like tendencies.

G7 reaches "historic agreement" on global tax reform

Totalitarian Socialists believe they are in charge. The money is their money. This is who Liberals who voted for today's Democratic candidates want. There is no other way to look at it. It's not Biden; it's what was behind him. Trump was the ONLY PERSON IN AMERICA willing to stand up to them and the media, the Liberal elite and the feel good morons on the street couldn't take it.

I'm not sure how effective this will be. A lot of pretty significant developed nations are not G7.

The 2 most significant tax havens for the Europe market are in the EU, Ireland and Luxembourg. Nearly every company has it's tech hub in Ireland due to advantageous taxing and books revenue through Luxembourg. At least within the EU, those tax havens will suddenly be limited. There will always be the "Bahamas" situations but there are lots of ways the G7 but for profits earned in those countries it's not an option. It is an option for profits earned in small markets but if you focus on the G7 (plus EU) then you'll capture taxes on the vast majority of these companies profits. China isn't a G7 country but does anyone think these multi-national companies want to hold their profits there when that government tomorrow could decide to take them all?

Gave Republicans a bad name? Look up the election results. Nixon won by the biggest landslide ever and Ike wiped up the floor both times

the most recent GOP candidate couldn’t get a majority over a witch and a zombie It seems like the Casino Prince gave Republicans a bad name

If only I was talking about election results...

You mean take them as in "make them pay higher taxes?"

The problem I see is that Ireland and Luxembourg aren't part of the G7, and I don't see how the EU can force them to raise their corporate tax. Even if they could, we're only talking about a floor of 15 percent. If Ireland capitulates, it's only off by 2.5 percent, so it wouldn't mean some huge change for them.

The US corporate rate is 21 percent, which is about the EU average and a little lower than most of Western Europe. However, the Administration wants to raise it to 28 percent, which would put us higher than almost anyone in Europe, and he wants some mechanism to keep US companies from relocating to avoid the tax. I don't see how a 15 percent floor does that. They could still relocate to any country in Europe other than Malta and Germany (which are higher than 28 percent) and still beat our tax and significantly so.

Ultimately, I think we're pushing a square peg into a round hole, because the real tension is caused by the fact that Europe's tax structure is different from ours. We get our tax money almost entirely through income taxes of some kind - individual income tax, corporate income tax, and FICA (which is just another income tax with an income ceiling). European nations use similar taxes but also use a VAT. That means that they don't have to tax corporate income as hard as we do, so unless they also cut their VAT, I don't see why they'd be motivated to greatly increase their corporate rates enough to make them no longer lower than the US corporate rate.

Harris is a joke as VP.

Giggle Queen always says: I want to be clear. She seems unsure of herself, generally uninformed, and WAY in over her head with the job.

Whenever someone prefaces a sentence with "let's be clear" or "i want to be clear" you know they are coming from a place of weakness on a subject. Unsure of their position as you point out.
