Is BLM the Most Powerful Political Party in the Country?

BLM in coordination with the Left is indirectly killing sports too. People just don't want to be inundated with the **** anymore.

Yeah, between Facebook and Twitter, and the prevalence of smart phones and Youtube and streaming services, I get plenty of news 24 hours a day. The last place I need or want to get it even more is in Sports, but oh well.

I ask this sincerely, what more do many, not all, black people want?
They have been given free money, scholarships, need for lower SAT or GPA to enroll in great Universities, several black only TV stations, magazines, beauty pageants, free tutors at college, statues removed, buildings renamed, all the while demanding more and more. Give them an inch and they want a mile.
Last night I saw on the news that a white college student was arrested and put in handcuffs for writing "black babies lives matter" in chalk, in front of an abortion clinic. Meanwhile, police are told to stand down while a mixture of woke whites and black people loot, spray paint vulgarities on buildings, throw items that could injure innocent bystanders or the police, burn things down, etc. with no repercussions.

Now TV shows and movies are rushing to either dredge up bad things that happened to black people many years ago, or fan the flames by writing new material.
Black people are being taught to hate white people again, and we do nothing about it. Trump is freely called a racist or worse, and there is no strong evidence that he is a racist or a Nazi.

This vote will be the end of the US as we know it. First, the mail in ballots are a total failure--look to New York. They still don't have the results in. And data harvesting is legal now. I can go to a poor part of town, or a nursing home and sign people up, and dump 100s of ballets, or, I can even sign their name for them and dump hundreds of ballets.
If Trump wins, the last 4 years will look like a yoga retreat. Do you think there is any way they would accept another Trump term? It's weird, last night I was thinking how assassinations were fairly common when I was growing up. JFK, Bobby, MLK, 1 attempt at Reagan, and 2 at poor Gerald Ford. What did he do to deserve that? I predict there will be an assassination attempt if Trump wins. People are losing their damn minds.

Then, gosh only knows how long it will take to sort it all out, and the losing side will either "find" just enough ballets to win, or the country will burn. It might be spring before a President is chosen. What will happen during that time? And if Biden wins, the D party has selected some of the worst possible leftists as his VP.He has promised the AOC gang prominent positions, and if we lose the House and Senate we are truly doomed.

We need to stop giving in to the demands of black people to a certain extent. I don't want Black Lives Matter in huge letters on our streets, or on sport courts or walls or anywhere else. It makes me kind of sick how we are bowing down to their every wish because we are too scared to say anything lest we be branded a racist. God help us all.

Soros and his ilk are to blame. Plus the media looking for ratings.

In their heart of hearts, I don't think most blacks want anything. However, there is enormous cultural pressure in their communities to take the most radical positions and to avoid showing any element of racial disunity. They don't want to be called sellouts.

I don't blame black people for that. That's the fault of hypocritical, white, liberal local politicians who don't respect the rule of law and evenhanded justice.

Black people are being taught to hate white people again, and we do nothing about it.

For the last 25-30 years, we've taught large numbers of kids the Howard Zinn version of American history. Accordingly, they don't just hate white people. They hate Western values - free thought, free inquiry, reason, hard work, humility, personal responsibility, Christianity, and in recent years, Judaism.

Furthermore, they've been taught that ethnic and racial ties (so long as they aren't white) are stronger and more important than national or civic ties. That's why we read about younger, Latinos often identifying more strongly with their Latin heritage than their parents did. The opposite should be true, and the difference is education and culture. Their parents were taught to be proud Americans. They are being taught to be proud Mexicans (but to reject the more Western Spanish and Catholic elements of that) and to reject Americanism.

This vote will be the end of the US as we know it.

I'm more optimistic than that, but it will be a mess.

If Trump wins, the last 4 years will look like a yoga retreat. Do you think there is any way they would accept another Trump term?

I think the unrest is here to stay regardless of who wins. Some of it will die down if Biden wins. However, Biden will draw a line somewhere. He's not that woke, and they will freak out about something he does or some concession he makes. Remember, they go after weak liberals harder than they go after conservatives. That's why the self-righteous, grovelling mayor of Minneapolis got thrown under the bus. The bottom line is that we've raised a generation of decisional radicals, and they are coming. It's just a matter of when, not if.

Authoritarianism is coming to America in one color or another. Either the mobs take over and run the show. Or police, militia, etc clear them out of the streets and give them harsh jail sentences until the mob slinks away.

Maybe the last 20 years. I wasn't taught this crap.

BLM organizer knocks off veteran Democrat in House primary

The movement to end racism is a virtue to which all of mankind should aspire. But the problem is when it becomes political.

My Father told me more than once that Castro was welcomed because Bautista was such a corrupt man. But look what happened. Populist rhetoric is a drug to the American people right now, especially brain-dead, guilt-ridden white suburban virtue signaling people. They are only wanting to be seen as the one's marching along side Dr. King.

And so they do. They ask no questions because they would be destroyed if they did. Meanwhile, political power is being gathered up and the anger of AOC and that Seattle councilwoman will be the next American government.

And it will be disastrous.

At some point we need to get back to traditional Western values and that includes Christianity, that will be the hardest pill to swallow for some. I think one place our culture went astray was following a sparse, absolute individualism in the Enlightenment. Most of the push backs to Western ideals have been collectivist in nature who have highlighted the disillusionment and isolation people feel when they lose close community. Of course Leftists also push for more and more extreme individualism, like the gender fluidity idea. They are a bit hypocritical. I think the way forward, at least in part, is to embrace a different version of individualism.

It is a distinct irony that the collectivist movement in fact is a jigsaw puzzle of thousands of pieces. Everyone is embraced for their own individual identity, yet Biden say's things like, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

We all know the virtue signaling of Biden is a big joke. Believe the victim is a big joke. Trump subverting Democracy is a big joke. They are hypocrites and all their feel good rhetoric and self-righteous anger is nothing but a cover for very powerful people who are now playing the American people like a fiddle.

Mr D
You think Biden is capable of drawing a line?

Literally drawing a line? Probably not.

Figuratively, yes. Why? Because he's an institutionalist and can count. Democrats won't have the votes to do the most radical things, and compromises will have to be made. So if you're a Marxist radical, he will disappoint you at some point.

It was almost a comfort to me that Biden won the nomination. As much of a F-up that he is, he has enough moderate sense that I thought he could be worked with. But who was I kidding? He elevated Beto (gun control) and AOC (green deal) so now he's just a front to me. The proverbial trojan horse. But he did win the nomination fair and square if the votes mean anything, meaning MAYBE the electorate is not wholly on board with extremism.

It depends on where you live. Obviously, it came to the Bronx much sooner than it came to Cedar Park. Zinn wrote his ******** textbook in 1980, so that might give you some idea when it started. There's a reason why millennials are so ****** up about history.

Biden will not have the mental capacity to recognize when he’s being manipulated. It will not be a Biden managed Presidency.

^ That surprises and pleases me
Now if we can just get rid of all the white guiltists

It doesn't surprise me at all. Most white liberals don't actually know about or care about blacks on any rational level. They care about themselves and what makes them feel righteous. Right now, the big narrative is that police departments should be defunded, and you look and sound like a righteous "ally" if you say this. It's nothing more than a mantra they're mindlessly repeating - not a proposal in which the pros and cons are being logically weighed.

Perhaps, but presidential nominees often do this sort of thing to unify their base and then blow these people off one in office. Bill Clinton did some similar things. He even brought some of them into his administration like that freak show surgeon general who wanted to have jerk-off instructions in school. However, she was largely marginalized.

My guess is that if Biden wins, he'll give Beta a White House job, so he can have a paycheck. However, unless Democrats have big majorities on Capitol Hill (not likely), Beta isn't going to get much traction. Same with the Green New Deal. AOC isn't going to leave Capitol Hill to work for him, so he'll hire some environmentalist freak show who will spout the right rhetoric. However, they're not going to get anything done with respect to getting something like the GND enacted or funded.

I'm not saying Biden won't do bad things. He will. Ginsburg and Breyer will be replaced early on with hardcore leftists. I'm sure he'll enact some crappy regulations. However, as a long-time fairly pragmatic senator, he will have feel for what he can actually do, and that means he will necessarily have to draw some lines.

Biden has zero chance of winning and only 50% chance of being the nominee by Election Day.

I wish I had as much confidence as you. In fact, I have no confidence at all, especially when Trump keeps sticking his foot in his mouth. I'd like to know what this guys 13 factors are, to assess if they make since in this unusual of times, but they're not listed.

Professor Allan Lichtman predicts Joe Biden will beat Donald Trump
That guy takes credit for picking Gore over Bush, saying he was robbed! Also the count was 7-6 Biden, so very close. Also, Trump got dinged on economy, though a pandemic is completely new. So yes, some of this does not apply to this election.
