Ewers is a sophomore. Remember Colt's sophomore year? The kid had an off game, but he never turned the ball over, accounted for three touchdowns, and stayed calm even when things did not go well.Ewers ain't the guy! He looked like ****!
Our D is LEGIT!
while I do not disagree, a 17-play drive is unacceptable.Coach PK and his mighty D kept us in the game, and ultimately put some distance between us with the Defensive TD.
A very meager 10 points (net of 3 points considering the D TD) surrendered against a fairly decent team.
Well, gotta make it interesting…while I do not disagree, a 17-play drive is unacceptable.
Were you thinking Ewers wasn't the guy after the Bama game?Ewers ain't the guy! He looked like ****!

Colt had a 65% comp% his sophomore year. Quinn is nowhere near that despite less than stellar competition. When/if Quinn gets close to that maybe I'll agree.Ewers is a sophomore. Cut him some slack.
Completely different offense for Colt designed around the short game. Not to mention the sticky hands of his receiving corp.Colt had a 65% comp% his sophomore year. Quinn is nowhere near that despite less than stellar competition. When/if Quinn gets close to that maybe I'll agree.
Exactly! I think there were at least 4 critical plays where the ball hit a receiver in both hands and they dropped it. Maybe someone can count them. The ball was high or to one side or the other and there was a defender. But top quality receivers make that catch. And DB’s were playing too soft all night giving up completions, until the end when a route was jumped. Yet the criticism is mostly on QE. He will be fine, but fix the other or pay going forward.WR—Gotta stop dropping catchable balls (1st half especially).
Just cant understand the drops. They have had so much time this summer working on this that it makes no sense. I missed the first 1st qtr but also very disappointed in the OL. They didnt give up that kind of penetration against bama and no way Wyoming had a better dl.First the good: Horns are 3-0 for the first time in a long time. Ewers got the W for the O. Good decisions. Showed good leadership. No turnovers. 1 sack. 1 TD.
However, as others expressed, Ewers shows some concerning inconsistency. Too often he over throws open receivers and it appears to me he still doesn't look for second and third receiver very often. Mostly locks eyes on one receiver.
2nd "however", our receivers have dropped far too many catchable balls the last 3 games.... especially vs. bama an WY.
Perhaps his consistency will improve a little with each game and our receivers will start making better catches!
Yes, but with all the 3 & outs and failure to move down the field and put up a lot of points against Rice and Wyoming then maybe all the long passes aren't the correct strategy.Completely different offense for Colt designed around the short game. I think the 3 and outs prevented the offense getting to mid-field to where the deep ball comes into play.Yes, but with all the 3 & outs and failure to move down the field and put up a lot of points against Rice and Wyoming then maybe all the long passes aren't the correct strategy.
Bama looked like crap the whole game reallyBama and Georgia looked like crap early
