The defense has given up 35 points and almost 500 yards nearly 400 of it passing. That will spell trouble against OU and/or any other time we don't score 50-70 points.
 
We seem to be stuck in mud for the DBs in this scheme. They're so far away from the play and have to run 10 yards up once the play gets going. They probably run for more yards in a game than Ricky put up for his whole career.
 
Great job by the offense, Casey played well other than a few bad decisions.

deep pass coverage - absolutely horrendous.
Does Kwit realize he’s in the B12? Columbi owned the Texas safeties. Lots of work to do. And we need a different deep safety not 14
 
SMU mostly held TCU’s Duggan in check. He had decent stats, but SMU’s red zone D got the job done. I hope we’ll watch a lot of that film. Tackling the Frog’s headcase RB next week will be a key.

The TD where WR was OOB was on Schooler. Another one, there was no safety in sight, Jameson was a step behind on a few plays but it’s not all on him.

On the final pass inside the 5 on 4th and 14, wasn’t a DB in sight. #1 trailed by 10 yds
 
I just hope Kwit’s blitzing doesn’t leave us high and dry on the backend.

Patterson will be so pissed losing to the Ponies, they will be ready in Ft Worth next Sat.

Why I still can't get excited. 520 yards given up to tech's backup. Why does our defense continue to make average QB's look like Heisman candidates? If Columbia can put up 520 yards, just think what Rat poison and Doege will do. We can't outscore every team.

I don't blame Schooler at all for the catch. Jamison gave up the catch

Concur...it was clear early on that he was a throw-back to the Air Raid of old, yet our secondary gave the deep ball all afternoon. Even that throw to the 2 had shades of a play etched in everyone's mind...

The saving grace is that it gives Sark something to make them focus on this week. 35 points is unacceptable even if, as they pointed out post-game, it was never a game after the blocked punt was nullified and Tceh would make it 14-7 a few plays later. Cheap points ARE still points and the defense SHOULD be embarrassed by that.
