Horns-Frogs Game Thread

He won’t mention card at all. I figure he’s transferring and that’s why he isn’t playing.

Card needs to transfer if he ever wants to see the field again or have any hope of a shot at the NFL- he’s wasting his time here as it’s obvious he’ll never get a shot to play unless QE is injured again - but not if he’s having a bad game.

I really thought we would see him in the second half. But, Sark decided that the hill he was going to die on was to stay with QE leading the O.

That’s gonna end up costing Sark his job if he doesn’t grow some gonads and making big boy decisions during the game. I’d expect that CDC is gonna get tired of 5-7, 7-5, etc.

You said he has a good arm. What is good about it? Just the ability to throw it with a great spiral and a long way? His deep ball really is pathetic.

Yes, my point exactly. He can throw it a long way with what looks to be easy for him. That's my definition of a good arm. Like the guy who can throw a fastball 100 mph. But like Ewers, he doesn't throw if for strikes. So, big effing deal., right? We need a ball player, someone like Colt McCoy. Being able to throw 100 mph when you walk 5 guys an inning doesn't mean squat. I think you and I agree on this.

Yes, I agree. Good arm but to no avail.

I said earlier this season he appears to have "It". Well, "It" appears to be the look and play of someone on drugs.

And now we have to go to Lawrence, who put up 540 yards against the same D we just played.

Does anyone really give a spit anymore? I dont care if we beat Kansas or not. This season is a total loss, more of the same, just a pile of crap. One more loss or victory won't change a thing.

Not really. Texas Gameday was all excited about having something to play for in November. Let's face it, Texas's season is over, so, you are correct, it doesn't matter.

Only good thing about today is that ou and aggy lost as well. 6 game skid for aggy - longest in 50 years.

So we got that goin’ for us. Which is nice.

ps: this why God invented alcohol

Jeff banks needs an *** chewing too I agree … dumb dumb dumb decisions on punt block attempts
Totally agree. Give that punter credit, he didnt even attempt to land after the first punt, just flopped and took his own legs out as we stupidly kept doing the same damn thing.

Apparently the LHN boys were complaining that we didn’t run the ball enough? Really? Did they watch the same game we watched?

That was just painful to watch. Best defensive performance I have seen in years but an all time stinker by the offense. Its hard to get a read on where this team is headed because they are so inconsistent. Before the season I had thought this was an 8-4 team with a ceiling of nine wins and a floor of 5 wins, 8 is possible still, maybe even likely, so let's see what happens these last two games and hopefully all those young players out there tonight learn from this and we see that in the years to come.

Nope. Way too much talent to be predicting 8-4. That or anything less is a failure, again.
Talented yes but not experienced at the most critical positions: QB , LB, DB, and OL.
Ewers missed o so many deep balls tonight I lost count . And he didn’t see (because he didn’t look) Bijon wide open at the tcu 10 yard line and overthrew Sanders in the tcu end zone.
True freshmen make bad mistakes. Card should have gone in at half time. I really think we win this game if Card played the last half

I was at the game, overall you have to tip your hat to TCU. I don’t think Bijan made one person miss the whole game, TCU flat made the tackle on him every time and THAT is phenomenal. TCU CB’s made several plays on the ball, dang good plays, those guys can flat cover and when we did catch it, the CB was contesting the catch almost every time. Yes there were drops by receivers in the first half, running game could never get started, Ewers missed seeing a wide open bijan for a touchdown. Both sides of the ball had to play perfect to beat this team and neither side did.

However, the defense aside from two plays, played damn good especially for the amount of time TCU had the ball. Hats off to the defense cause they flat did their job and deserve credit for their performance. I’ve been a little critical of them and they earned that criticism but tonight they grew up and deserve credit for their play. That is how you play defense and this time the defense did enough to win.

As for Ewers, he’s a freshman, he’s not ready to carry a team, yet. Calling for Card isn’t the answer. It’s Roschon, Bijan and any other upper classman’s burden to carry this team right now. Can’t be switching back and forth, these games are what grow a QB as painful as it may seem right now.

Can’t say enough about the defense, very proud of their effort. :hookem:

Sark's interview with Craig. Just a bunch of football cliches and at least 6 or 7 'we gotta play better' statements. Oh, and he ended with a Hook'em.
