10 Army Parachutists
Best part of the night. Got a great pic right as the guy touched the 50. Concert was pretty good too. Whole vibe is so much better than it was when I was a student. Fans were in it for awhile, but the O just kind of sucked the life out of everyone.

Reminds me of Mack sticking with Simms simply because he was a 5 star over Applewhite. Not saying Ewers isn’t the best starter. Just saying Sark needs to insert Card occasionally when Ewers is not performing.
That roughing the punter reminded me of the 2001 CCG when Major had brought us all the way back and we're getting the ball back only to rough the punter and send NU to the NC game without winning the conference.

Yeah, the Jumbotron was another reason for which I will prefer to enjoy future games from the comfort of my living room or from a sports themed restaurant. I had brought along ear plugs (because 90 minutes before the game I attended the Percussion on the Green outside of the Butler School of Music) and they came in very handy last night during the game. Even with the ear plugs, my ears were still ringing when I got back to the hotel.

And I noticed that there were some malfunctioning pixels in the lower right quadrant of the Jumbotron. A trivial thing, you might think. But we’re the flagship university in the state and you would think that we would have a Jumbotron that was (literally!) picture perfect.
I have tinnitus pretty bad so I took ear plugs and my bose noise cancelling over ears. The bose take a lot of that lower base out which really helped. I was on that side at the 20 yd line so I was pretty close to the jumbotron and it was still ok.

Hey man, we saw you at the game!

20 years and we're still hearing this stuff. Maybe he made the right call, maybe not, but the idea that he made the decision to start Simms based on solely recruiting rankings that were 3+ years old by then, doesn't have a leg to stand on (not even Major's gimpy leg with the knee that he blew out twice and that probably actually did have something to do with it).

Early on, Mack would stick with Simms even when he was obviously having a bad game. If Simms didn’t lay down in the Big 12 championship against Colorado, Mack was sticking with him. I do credit Mack with growing as a coach with QB’s overall.

I believe that Phil Simms was a helicopter dad and that had a lot to do with the Simms/Applewhite situation.
I always heard that Simms consistently outplayed Major in practice so Mack had a hard time starting Major even though Major had a knack for playing well on game day.
