Bye bye drsma king…. I ssid this was gonna be a bunch of BS 3 months ago.IT reporting ATH Aeryn Hampton will sign with Alabama later today.
Is it a tactic to drive up the price?
You’re right and I’m fine with that. If that is indeed the case, then why don’t we just pay it and move forward?I think we have to assume some people do that. It happens in business all the time.
Evan Stewart part II, maybe.I thought the same thing. Does it mean he’s been trained and taught how to extract more money?
He’s asking for the Mack Brown curse. Did anyone warn him of the Mack brown curse? If not, he has no idea.Bye bye drsma king…. I ssid this was gonna be a bunch of BS 3 months ago.
Look, i WANT recruits to go where they want. But this kid said a couple of days ago he was ‘100% coming “ to UT.”
Just go, youve done this **** for a year.
Edit: my angst is that a kid who wanted to cone hete might not have been recruited because if this. Go, get your money…but not signing day.
Are we talking Ryan Wingo or Ryan Perrilloux? He’s asking for the Mack Brown curse. Did anyone warn him of the Mack brown curse? If not, he has no idea.
Maybe even better off by whiffing on some kidsWe will be ok if we lose a couple.
Hell I’m less mature now in my 50iesGuys,you got to remember we are dealing with 17 or18 year olds.
Hampton has been a flipper from day one. He will live in mediocrity at bama.If I remember correctly, Hampton was the first commitment to UT class of 2024 over a year ago. And is definitely the “most often” committed recruit. DB island is no place for indecision. We have added other (higher regarded?) since he first came aboard. One who doesnt want to compete for a role, a guaranteed position, is anathema to our current culture. Several of our best players were not the highest priorities. They simply worked themselves onto the field.
Normally, I would completely agree about losing a player surrounded by drama. But this is a top 20 player nationally, so he’s presumably a difference maker. And at a position of need for us next season and beyond.Guys, you got to remember we are dealing with 17 or18 year olds. I dont even want to remember all the mistakes I made at that age. Now the big money that has been inserted into the situation makes it even worse. We will be ok if we lose a couple.

We can use his spot for a lock down corner in the portal.
Saban?I don't see him surviving Saban more than 2 years.
WOULD YOU JUST GROW UP ALREADY GOOD GRIEF MANHell I’m less mature now in my 50ies

Imo, I think Mack and Wilson made Hampton expendable. I still wanted him to be in this class, but the DB haul this year was a plethora of riches for Texas. Two possible day one contributors or two deep guys in Filsaime and Black and three developmental ones in JJR, Mack and Wilson. Hampton would've been a developmental one, imo.
I agree that dude is expendable. I am focused on Wingo. My comments are related to him.Imo, I think Mack and Wilson made Hampton expendable.
