Sarks first order of business post signing day(other than preparing the mudhole game plan for UW) is to sit Mr. Wingo down and reinforce the first rule of Texas fight club ---- Don't make the Hornfans crowd anxious.

The news will be reporting Bama stole a recruit from Texas and not our excellent recruiting class. Note media never credited sark for his excellent portal transfers. This is why the casual football fan thinks Texas came out of nowhere this season (looking at TexAgs).

He has always been a bit of a flake. And was always a risk take. "Grass is greenier on the other side" kind of guy. It doesn't appear that Sark is holding him to UT
 
Drama and NSD are not newlyweds. I’m sure posters like Sabre and his generation could regale us with stories that make today’s skullduggery look tame. Willis Mackey comes to mind.
 
Little surprising on Hampton wavering. You think about the number of Texas kids signed at bama over the last 5-6 years. Most are at other schools. Still cant believe Brockrmeyer didnt start at TCU this year after leaving bama. This whole drama is all about money. NIL has harmed college sports but you cant put the genie back in the bottle. Texas must have a solid nil program but I wish it were more even for all the athletes. It still takes a team to play, not just the stars.
 
He could be just silly trolling. Can’t blame him for listening to other offers, so hoping he’s just being a goofball and plans on signing with us. Fingers crossed.

I know we benefit from flips so what goes around, sometimes comes around. But why would someone make a commitment if they really aren’t committed? Is it a tactic to drive up the price? Is it to alleviate the pressure associated with consistent recruiting? Does anyone have any insight?

Totally agree! I suspect he already has a serious NIL package from Texas but now seemingly is slow playing his commitment. At a minimum, I do not like the optics. My spidey sense makes me wonder- If this is how someone behaves during the engagement- what will it be like after the marriage?
