heckuva speech, Trumpy

I guess because the never incited a violent mob to storm the Capitol, never tried to mess up the orderly transition of power or tried to use informal channels intimidate election officials to change vote counts? The mystery to me is why intelligent people keep trotting out this lame analogy?

Nah, it's because they're deceitful hypocrites.

They did stir up violence against private property. So yeah the analogy fits very well. They also impeached the President based on false evidence from the dossier full of lies.

The fake dossier given to the FBI which spurred the Mueller investigation is the very definition of using informal channels to overturn an election. Are you high?

Crock, I would agree with you if we were only smearing the people who actually did the bad act. However, they're smearing anyone who remotely questions the outcome of the '20 election or supports any effort to improve the security of elections and trying to frame anyone doesn't spout their rhetoric as authoritarian pariahs.

I've haggled with @Garmel on the election for two years. I have my disagreement with him, but none of it makes him an authoritarian or any kind of "democracy hater." He's not morally inferior to these Democrats who mindlessly attacked every election they've lost since 1988 and then suddenly decided (when it was politically convenient) to demonize everyone who does what they were doing with far less basis until about 5 minutes ago.

And like I've said before, anyone who supports the administrative state as Democrats do and supports the lawless judicial philosophy of Democratic judges (both of which butcher every principle of democracy and the rule of law) has no credibility to attack anyone on this.

Finally, the Democrats know this is ********, because they're not acting like they're worried about the democracy. They're not moderating on anything to try to build a consensus around protecting democracy. They actively helped Republicans who doubted the '20 election when it was convenient to them. They haven't renounced their own lengthy history of election denialism. This whole talking point is nothing more than a self-serving, self-righteous diversion.

Even this milquetoast Republican asserts Dems abused FORMAL channels to undermine democracy:
