Good news on Sam

Nothing about the opponent tomorrow night or the venue should surprise us one iota. If we have the team and the coaching we think we have, we will win the game. Not saying that we will. Saying that we should.

There are no cakewalks in this conference with the possible exception of KS. At some point we need to move past nail biters to some level of domination. Not sure that it’s going to happen this year, but it sure would be a pleasant change.

I think Sam plays the whole game and does it effectively. They can't hold up to CJ and LJH and we win this one by 2 TDs. Not that worried. And I'm usually pessimistic, but this team has shown over and over no matter what happens in the game, they can finish. TH says to trust in the process and he's gotten me on board.

I would guess Gundy is preparing more for Shane as risking the remainder of the season on playing a QB who probably isn't fully healed is not something a sane coach would do. Unfortunately, Gundy has and will continue to stress to his DL's and LB's fair but hard hits on Sam at any chance if he plays. Just part of the game. Double unfortunately, one of those DL's or LB's will likely forget the "fair" part of those instructions.
You figure that when Shane is in the pocket, Gundy instructs the DLs to hit him fairly and softly, to make sure he doesn't get hurt?!
