General Presidential Campaign: Trump vs Hillary

What hasn't been talked about is that what Trump admires in HRC. Her "never give up" and "fighter" mentality deflates the "doesn't have the stamina" argument.
No it doesn't. I cramped up halfway through the NYC Marathon after averaging 6:45/mile. I limped the rest of the way in a painful full body cramp.

I never gave up, but that was not a successful enterprise by any measure.

In 2015, the Republicans walked into this election with a built-in advantage. Severe dissatisfaction with the POTUS incumbent and his party and a strong desire for "change" were the facts. Republicans were falling over themselves to get into the race whereas nobody on the Democrat side wanted to run.

Fast forward a year and the disgust for the 2 major party candidates is actually driving UP Obama's approval ratings. They hit 55% last week. What is the most surprising element is that no 3rd party has been able to get a foothold in this climate of No Trump/HRC. Is that a factor of money?

Exactly.

No, it is that the third party candidates are even worse than the other two. Jill Stein sounds like a crazy person and Gary Johnson is full of Aleppo moments. I guess quality people are no longer nominated to be president in this country.

If Weld was headlining the Libertarians, they'd have a lot more traction. I'd consider voting for them. But Johnson is a white hot mess. No attention to detail, too Libertarian for most people's taste...a pothead. Not qualified.

It must be hard to stand there with a blank look on your face, like Hillary does, while your opponent accuses you of everything under the sun, most of which she knows is true. That's at teflon-coated, practiced politician. Fear this woman.

She didn't even blink when this fly landed on her face.

Flies are attracted to $^*t! What ever is coming out of her mouth anyway.

You can thank social media, technology, and globalization for the watered down intellectualism, deflection of responsiblity, loss of empathy, and moral decay of society.

Dystopia is a word for a reason.

Please elaborate on how he lied about his taxes. I am sure you can provide "specifics."
Nope. I just get a general idea of Trump's truthfulness on everything verifiable and extrapolate. If his tax returns aren't full of gotcha's I'm sure he would release them. He hasn't released them. I have to admit, that when Donald Trump says "Believe me" I get the feeling he's about to launch another whopper. Trump's level of truthfulness makes Richard Nixon look like a pious Quaker.

Paul Ryan says he won't defend Trump anymore. Evidently he didn't buy the 59yr old man "locker-room talk" excuse. To most non-Trump voters, that video demonstrates Donald Trump's character, at least those of us with wives, mothers and sisters.

Trump responds to Paul Ryan:

If Trump were a less flawed candidate the Speaker of the House wouldn't get asked to defend him in controversy after controversy.

In other news...NBC/WSJ Poll conducted post-"Access Hollywood" video yet before the debate shows HRC with an 11-point lead nationally in a 4-way race.

So here are the states that have a "greater than 1 percent chance of tipping the election:"

The scary part for Trump is that he could conceivably win the states that he "needed to," according to pundits back in July or so, and still lose the general election. You could spot him Nevada/Ohio/Florida/Iowa/North Carolina, which was "supposed" to give him a slight electoral advantage over the summer, but now, he'd need those just to keep it from being a sure-win for HC.

Do we have to have a president? Can we get away with four years without one?

We would already have a GDP over 3% had Obama played golf everyday of his tenure. We have a pattern in our modern history of cycles that the economy slumps down and never before have we had any major changes and it always rebounded. But this administration made lots decisions that prevented the economic growth.

Unfortunately, the sad reality is that we have these two DESPICABLE people running. How in the f'in world did we wind up with these idiots as our choices?

Well the people or citizens in both parties should have nominated an outsider. One party stuck with the ultimate insider with the establishment that's crooked and the other attempted to get an outsider, but failed to get one that just can't keep his mouth shut in regards to women. But the GOP did this to themselves. The people were tired of the same old politics with nothing happening for the good of the country. So they wanted to get away from that as far as they could. Between Eric Cantor and now Trump beating every GOP establishment thrown at him should be the ultimate eye opener. No more BS and start standing up for the people once in for all. I promise you in 2020 the people will again nominate someone on the outside. Because Hillary will run all over them and they will do nothing about it but give, give, and give some more to her far left agenda. Open Borders? Are you kidding me? If the GOP fought against Obama as hard as they fought against Trump, he wouldn't be in the general election right now.

Where is Hillary on your scale? Even democrats believe she routinely lies, so surely you will be honest about it? And your general idea seems to come from the media like Lester Holt's fact checking...

I'm watching the debate now, and a normal-sized beer just isn't going to cut it. Only das maß will do. I'm 24 minutes into this, and it's a friggin' Springer episode. Hope the chairs are bolted down. I've never seen anything like this.

In case anyone is deceived, the glass is from the Andechs Monastery in Herrsching, Germany, but it's actually a Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer.

Trump kills Hillary in last 30 min. Worth watching to the end.

I'll admit that he handled the 22-minute kick in the balls at the beginning as well as one could. I will watch it until the end, but I can't promise that I won't have a bit of a buzz by the end.

Really? I thought his response the tapes was incoherent. "I'm embarrassed...but ISIS is chopping off heads." WTF? If you were expecting him to simply deflect and that was seen as "handling" it then I concede the argument.

What else did you expect him to do? He was in a bit of a ****** situation (entirely self-imposed), but other than deflecting to more serious issues and redirecting to Bill's misconduct and Hillary's alleged support for his misconduct, I'm not sure what else he could have done.

Chris Wallace is the third debate moderator. Maybe he has the gravitas to say, "no more personal attacks, let's talk about the issues" and hold them in check.

He has a very confrontational style. I think he forced Reagan to admit to the Iran-Contra scandal publicly. They're not going to be able to ******** their way around him. They should both be nervous. I think most of Trump's sins have been laid bare, but if anybody is going to break through Hillary's veneer, it would be him.

@Musburger1 , this is for you, Bro. Hillary just launched her first attack on Russia for doing the right thing in Syria. I figured this was a good time to switch to a Russian beer. (By the way, if you haven't had Baltika, I highly recommend it. You can get it at Spec's for about $2.99 for a half-liter bottle. It's not as flavorful as German beer, but it's very refreshing. You'll be proud of Mr. Putin.)

Don't let that beer get to you and start that SE Cupp locker room talk.

LOL. This is my last beer of the night. Deez, Jr. will be up at 7 a.m., and I'm 40 year old now. I talk a lot about beer, but I can't drink too much. (Besides, if you're a true lover of good beer as I am, you don't get hammered on it, because it weakens your ability to fully enjoy the taste and scent of the beer.)

Nevertheless, S.E. Cupp is beautiful - not as beautiful as Meg Ryan and a young Doris Day, but she is beautiful.

I gave up watching these freak shows when there were still 10 Republicans in the race and see no reason to start again now. I wont be voting in the presidential race this year. Again.

This bear baiting extravaganza would be embarrassing in a banana republic. We have gone from Washington, Jefferson, Polk and Lincoln to these two geeks; coming up next, which one can bite the heads off more live chickens in five minutes.

Hillary's plan for Syria is a no fly zone. Sorry, but the Syrian Air Force and Russia are not going to agree to it, as any damd fool knows, and we don't want to try to enforce it ourselves, do we? Gulp.

She also wants open borders with Latin America. I am kind of keen on that; I can hire a family of Hondurans to live in the doorless shed behind my house for $5 a week to mow the lawn, cook the meals and wash my clothes.

Trump will build a wall and only let in Mexican women who are hot and willing to shake the dew off his lily. Can you imagine how he could score if he was president instead of just a crass, narcissistic rich celebrity?

Laugh or weep?

Ha. Maybe I'll give it a try.

....Answer me this, does it matter if the privileged children of POTUS candidates are spoiled brats?

(a) why are you so unwilling to answer that question?

(b) i am actually willing to give Chelsea a pass.
why? because being the child of a rapist has to introduce some weird parameters on your childhood
