General Presidential Campaign: Trump vs Hillary

To borrow Mr. D.'s line; I did not know Hubbell was a rapist.

Nor do we know he wasnt

OK, two liters of beer later, I'm done with the debate. I think Trump won. He was still laughably weak on policy, but he stopped the bleeding and hit Hillary hard on the issues that have come out recently but have been overshadowed by his own stupid statements. I think that's the best he could have done under the circumstances. Hillary was sloppy and clearly underestimated him. She sounded terrible on e-mails and on dealing with Syria.

He was handed a SCOTUS question on a platter
He should have been ready to go with that one -- it was a chance for complete annihilation.
But he choked. He did mention Scalia and his list of names but then just bumbled everything after that

Just FYI - Baltika has several different options. I recommend Baltika 7 or Baltika 9. Seriously, it's pretty good stuff.

I really like Baltika 7. Drank a bunch of it when I worked in Kazakhstan. The stuff in the US is usually pretty stale. I wouldn't recommend it here unless its from a Russian store with good turnover.

Out of sheer curiosity, how many transgendered students are at your school?

I see this is a hard pill for you to swallow. Here are our demographics:

African American 2.9%
Hispanic 16.0%
White 67.6%
American Indian 0%
Asian 6.4%
Pacific Islander 0.1%
Two or More Races 7.0%
Economically Disadvantaged 9.8%
English Language Learners 6.9%
Special Education 4.9%
Enrollment: 968(As of 11/3/2015)

As much criticism as Blumenthal deserves, it's kind of funny that this comes out today.

I am Sidney Blumenthal. At least, that is what Vladimir Putin—and, somehow, Donald Trump—seem to believe. And that should raise concerns not only about Moscow’s attempts to manipulate this election, but also how Trump came to push Russian disinformation to American voters.

Had nothing to do with the election, I had heard from friends in Austin of parents letting their gendered confused sons wearing make-up to middle school. Was curious this was prevalent or not.

And how old were these students when President Clinton was committing perjury by lying during impeachment proceedings about having sexual relations with his young assistant in The White House?

It's likely most in the school have no idea her dress containing his semen appeared and caught him red handed ending his denials.

By the way it is illegal to lie to Congress under oath, which both Bill and HRC have now done in separate decades.

"whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the government of the United States, knowingly and willfully" falsifies or conceals information, including before a congressional committee's inquiry, may also be fined or imprisoned up to five years."

Bill testified to Congress "I never had sexual relations with that woman". Then was forced to admit he did once evidence appeared.

HRC testified to Congress she never sent or received classified information. Of course Comey later testified the FBI found evidence she did exactly that.

Both were proven as lies, and neither faced repercussions for committing perjury. What a surprise.

How old were they when HRC was Secretary of State and creating havoc in the Middle East, destabilizing states/leaders, and leaving power vacuums that are now flooded with terrorist groups?

I'm sure the odds even a small fraction of those students have any real knowledge of the confirmed lies and scandals perpetrated by the Clintons when in power. And that's not even taking into account the scandals they've skated on.

Even with that aside, students in an Austin area school voted for the Liberal candidate? So basically most of their parents support HRC. Shocker.

The stuff I used to buy at the Specs in Round Rock was usually good. I'd check the expiration dates though. I don't buy it too often in Germany, because I've got so many other choices. However, when I do buy it, I go to a grocery store that obviously caters to a Russian and eastern European clientele. The clerks speak no English at all (rare in this area) and are usually older people whose second language is Russian. I suspect most of them grew up in East Germany. The food products almost exclusively have labels that have Cyrillic lettering, and the meat section is a bit smelly and frankly kinda scary.

Another leaked email reveals what the Clinton Campaign bigwigs (and probably all global elitist pols) actually think about their own voters --

Boom. Mic drop. /thread

We held mock elections at my school last week. Out of 948 students that voted, these were the results:

You didn't say what level (elem., middle, etc.) your school was. Hard to imagine that even at the high school level kids know anything at all about Gary Johnson or Stein, yet they have supporters in your poll.

Hell, the 20-somethings I work with have zero interest in politics. I'll bet the majority of them won't vote. Now, if the election was to name the best video game franchise .......

Trump had a chance at the debate to educate all the young voters on these issues. Some of them have never heard of Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones. They dont even know he was impeached.

Considering --
-- the size of the TV audience (for example, a friend of mine from India was watching live at ~7am there)
-- who he was debating
-- who was sitting in attendance
-- the question that was hanging in the air, and
-- the fact that he alone speaking and literally had the world's full attention

Did he blow it?

It could have been the most memorable moment of the campaign (like Nixon sweating, or Ford blowing it on Eastern Europe, or "there you go again," or "I knew John Kennedy").

He should have been better prepared. He seemed to be prepared pre-debate. But he should had a better answer ready. He obviously knew it was coming. He should have been working on his answer and thinking about for weeks. If he had done it right, that response would have been devastating. It could have been an election-defining moment, and even assured him a spot in the history books on elections.

Here is the thing -- moments like that never present themselves. The Clintons have been hiding from these Bill-Clinton-sexual-predator issues forever. They avoid media. They do not take questions. And in those rare instances when they do, they only deal with friendly media. I think there are 17 different women (that we know of) who have accused Bill Clinton of rape, sexual assault and/or unwanted sexual advance. It's amazing what they have managed to get away for so long.

But there they were, both Clintons, in this one moment in this one debate. They were fully exposed. They were vulnerable. Their lapdog media could not help them. Bill even looked like he was ready to run out of the room. The world was watching. They were ripe apples ready to be picked. It was the only time it has ever happened, and it will never happen again.

In this light, he blew it.
