Herman

SOOOOOO. ...Put his butt IN the game and GIVE him the rock often, so he can experience the speed of the game so it slows down for him before the last game of the freaking year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't it amazing that RBs like Cedric Benson ( just to name one ) and many many other 4 and 5* RBs at other schools throughout history step on the field and are awesome all season, but Herman's need a whole damn season before they shine !!!!!!!!!

They say he is managing his PT just like he did Ezekiel Elliott back in the day
(Some people didn't like that either at time)

With all the offense, this play was sort of quickly forgotten

I actually just came back on here to post on Collins.
Everything we've been hearing on him appears true. Looks like we have 5* guy there that is likely to live up to the billing..6'5" 305 and moves like a tight end

Just wondering how long Sam was injured? His penchant for being tough and playing hurt without telling anyone is not in the best interest of the team. He wanted to come out for the second half according to reports.

I think he's been injured for a few years that affected his deep balls. Too much punishment he sustained IMO.

Edit: Somehow typed "depression" balls instead of deep balls. Insert balls jokes <here>.

Well, after watching the game last night, I can say that the team played more physical by a lot than Colorado. In fact, I'd say the Horns are the most physical team in the B12.
Playing tough is not the problem.
And a big shout out to Casey for jump starting the offense to score a lot points in the second half to pull out to a comfortable win.

Imagine what a good, smart coach could do with this talent. SMH

Put his butt IN the game and GIVE him the rock often,

We started the year in a 3-man rotation at RB. Ingram, Johnson, Robinson. At that point, none of them clearly had pulled ahead of the other two or fallen behind. By early in the RRS, still nobody had pulled ahead, but Ingram's fumbles to end the TCU game and open the OU game had fallen him behind. At this point, Robinson's load increased and over the next few weeks, he got the most carries of anybody, but didn't look especially impressive. 30 totes, 4.4 ypc, only 1 run over 12 yards. Not bad, but nothing eye-popping.

Then he went off against West Virginia. Then he got shut down by Iowa State. Then he went off against Kansas State, but remember that Roschon did too. Our OL blew huge holes for whoever was behind them, and the distribution of carries made sense. The 2nd quarter of the bowl game was the first time that Bijan was both on fire and inexplicably not getting reps. I still don't get wtf that was about, but the "Herman screwed him all year" stuff doesn't hold up to examination.

Most of his rants don't. Early in the year he was dead set on claiming Bijan wasn't all that, and didn't show anything special like a "true" 5* running back should, and so Herman and staff screwed up by offering him a scholly instead of a Texas kid. Now it's "why didn't Herman run him more". He argues whatever point comes to mind that makes Herman look bad.

I think some of the issue with Bijan earlier in the year was around pass protection. I remember Sam getting lit up more than once because Bijan failed to pick up the blitz. College pass protection is something many talented RBs didn't do in high school. But damn with the talent he shows with the rock is worth him going through the learning curve on protection.

Thanks for posting those. It felt like the line held up pretty well. Nice to see the young guys holding up. It was pretty much 2nd-3rd string across the line and the last few years that would have been a disaster.

I don't usually pay much attention to which alias is by a particular comment, so I didn't even know right away who you were talking about. And that description didn't help narrow it down much either.... :D
