game thread Horns vs Baylor 2023

Solid win. Choppy second half but that can be chalked up to the game being out of hand and it gives the coaches something to talk about, Texas still hasn’t played a complete game. Kansas next week will not be a pushover and the Horns better not be looking ahead to Dallas and OU.
 
Well Waco, it's been fun. We'll miss your rapey, cat-skinning college out there on the river. The only reason I'll visit in the future is driving by as I go up to West to get a kolache.
 
we had a great 2nd half. We outscored them. Moved the ball. held them scoreless. They were never a threat to win. played 2nd and third teamers.
 
Fantastic performance. The horns were well prepared and executed on both sides of the ball. The only negative was a couple of fumbled punts but I’m sure they will get that fixed. Complete domination of Baylor in Waco where we have had trouble in recent years. Running game, passing game, defense was outstanding. I feel good about this team. Let’s keep it going one game at a time.

Convincing win. Dominating defense - a few hiccups in pass coverage, but that can be fixed. Unhappy about the muffed punts - that needs to be worked out. My only gripe - would like to have seen more quality playing time for Murphy.
This score will help my prediction standing - I said 38-10.
Horns had very good focus for this game - that needs to be the case every game. Kansas is the next foe, not ou. Kansas is not a pushover - Horns should beat them, but it will take focus and intensity. A sloppy effort against Kansas could be a disaster.

Perhaps you and I have different expectations, and that’s ok.

This team has the talent to be a champion. What I saw tonight was a dominant defensive effort, a very good offensive effort, and a surprisingly poor special teams performance.

I’m happy to celebrate the good, but the goal is much bigger. You won’t see me really celebrating until they can put it all together with consistency. Like Tuscaloosa. That’s what needs to happen for us to reach the Promised Land.

For the first time since 2009, it appears to be out there for us.

Most important stat that you are missing is that he still hasn't turned the ball over.
