For Real ....Herman “IS” Done!!!

Cool and interesting chart Rain. 5 Big 12 members in there too. I think another aspect to consider in the scheme is that in all honesty the conference has not been real strong the past few years.
It is interesting, Nash...
I wonder how much of the in-conference play comprises those #s. I bet alot...
It does seem like, with a few exceptions, there is more parity in the Big12 in recent years and most games are competitive, entertaining, and close.
I am actually one who believes the Big12 is underrated and underappreciated when compared to anyone but the perennial elites. I'd put our top 4-5 against anyone outside of the Bama, Clemson, OhioState, etcs (say. the top 6-7 teams) most years and show you a good ball game. I realize I'm in the minority, but ...
Anyway...good catch....the Big12 plays close, competitive games for the most part and, to me, is one of the harder conferences to pick games within on any given Saturday.

Kevin Eltife was not on board the flight? It took off for Columbus from Tyler, Texas. The only member of our BOR who resides in Tyler is Kevin Eltife.

I dunno, but my cousin now denies that his ex wife lives in Columbus or that he was on that flight back to Austin. Plausible denial? I dunno

Burton says yes, ketch says no. So there's that.

Really, Huisache? You think that Citation stopped in Tyler to pick up Eltife? It was stopping in Tyler to make a rib run to The Country Tavern. Columbus restaurants suck.

For those in doubt, that low & slow citation costs more to get off the ground and up to 38,000 than it does to fly to Columbus. (HIC, can a Citation get to 38,000?)

I am beginning to think that Tom stays. Too much money and CDC does not want to be the fall guy. If he talked to Herman after the Iowa State game and talked about the KState game, could be he told him win out keep your job. If he was gonna do it,it seems it would be a done deal by now. Before you start pooping me,this is not what I want. I want him and the malcontents gone, and the band. Just a gut feeling I have about the way this is going.

Chris probably told him that he had several minor sports playing, so he better not screwup the press conference while he was gone.

Never flew Citations, but I see that plane has a service ceiling of 45,000. That means 38,000 is probably a safe bet. Depends on several factors.

The older Citations were nicknamed "Slowtation" and NearJet". They were slow, to say the least.

Our Lear was a beer can with two giant engines, but went everywhere 42-45,000, and 550-600 knots. We made fun of the Citations. Plus I decided they were bad luck after using one to try to rescue Marcus Dupree.

Creek,

You don't like the pull around curtain, or the fact that you can't muffle the sound, or roll down the windows to air out the cabin?

I have the feeling you are correct and have stated that in a couple of posts. I think we are looking at another year of TH.

IF Meyer deal can't be worked out, and IF Shanahan says "no" again, then I'd rather see Yurich as interim next year. Tom Herman has failed in multiple ways. Put him in a closet 40 hours a week.

And: (paging Capt Obvious) -- the Flight Aware tracking Horn folks are tracking a plane that has been making some interest stops, in terms of potential assistants

No I didn’t. It also prevented one from drinking too much and you had to warn new people, especially ladies, of the situation in advance.

This is very unlikely.

This is the football forum. What's your point? What is that...basketball?
The horse is dead that's all. I guess if you want to keep kicking him. Have at it. I like most am hoping for Meyer, but unlike most I will pull for the Horns to win everything all the time no matter what. I would like to say as a kid I used to say and do dumb stuff, but that would imply that I no longer say and do dumb stuff which is really untrue. So I forgive all fellow Longhorns for any slight against the Longhorn nation and wish us nothing but victories and unity going forward. Herman did his best, it just did not work out. I have no ill feelings for him as I hope people do not have ill feelings for me when I have failed. I hope he learns and improves.

We disagree on this, and that's fine. Frankly, most football threads are going to have some of us crap *** fans bagging on Herman until his sorry *** is gone. So, just a fair warning.

And, like I said last week, I don't care if you cheer them on. Why do you care if I don't right now because I feel their losing is better for getting his *** out of here, and I don't think most of these players deserve the feeling of winning? So, I don't criticize you. Why are you coming on here and critiquing us?

Anyway, hope all is well in Beijing.
