Who did that vid?
I've told the story of how my little league coaches in the mid 70s in Fort Worth said worse things to us than what coaches can probably get away with today.I'm not sure what Tim is saying. I guess swearing hurt his feelings so they didn't do it?
they were letting the little punks know who was in charge and to pay attention!I've told the story of how my little league coaches in the mid 70s in Fort Worth said worse things to us than what coaches can probably get away with today.
Yep. I'll rehash this one....they were letting the little punks know who was in charge and to pay attention!
I dont know, but this^^^^^^ reflects a big difference between me and these kids these days.I'm not sure what Tim is saying. I guess swearing hurt his feelings so they didn't do it?
True, but this sort of thing is done using fractional ownership aircraft vs privately owned jets usually, so while you are correct, it could be the Urban. Or it couldn't be. Who knows?FlightAware tracts airplanes, not passengers. Anyone could be on that flight.
Thank you for bringing clarity to the head ball coach sitcheyeation here.Save Tom!
Everyone's favorite, Tim Brando, waddles into the fray

It's just not necessary. Tony Dungy never cursed or even raised his voice. He had a pretty good run.I'm not sure what Tim is saying. I guess swearing hurt his feelings so they didn't do it?
If CDC is just trying to stroke his own ego and legacy and would bypass Myer because of it, I don't really know what to say.TFB -- (while they are good at recruiting, they appear to be out of the loop on this hire. But we will see)
First, in terms of where things are with Urban Meyer, we continue to hold the same position we’ve held for a bit now. Meyer is who Texas wants, they’re willing to pay a lot of money for him, there is a chance he ends up at Texas but we’d say it’s not a great one at the moment.
Source said that CDC is the type that wants to make a splash hire but said that he also is the type who would want the hire to be ‘his hire’. In the case of Urban, the play is just too big to say no too, but source seemed to indicate that it’s not necessarily his style to look for someone who wouldn’t be CDC’s guy. In other words, not sure you get a ton of credit as an AD for throwing a bazillion dollars at one of the best coaches of this generation. Source did add that they wouldn’t be surprised if the idea of replacing Herman with Urban, given there is a bit of a divide between the two, isn’t sitting well with CDC. Said it’s not his style to attract that kind of story, if you will.
Rub some dirt on it, kid.they were letting the little punks know who was in charge and to pay attention!
If CDC is just trying to stroke his own ego and legacy and would bypass Myer because of it, I don't really know what to say.
Edit: And, Texas, after the summer's BS, is beyond the point of being the choir boy head coach job. I don't care anymore about Myer's past. He's a damn good coach, and that's what Texas needs.
And that’s fair.it remains a fluid situation

11:50 a.m. update: I learned via a very trusted source moments ago that BOR chairman Kevin Eltife was not in Ohio yesterday and part of the traveling party that went to Columbus. We're still working to get details on who was actually involved in the trip, but this source was strong in saying that Eltife (who is very much leading the process) was not in Ohio. "The real question is whether Urban wants to coach again," the source said without giving out any other details.
****
This is still a story that we're working to gain meaningful details on, but I do want to confirm that we have been told by a source with connections to the current Texas Board of Regends that representation from UT met with Urban Meyer in Columbus for what is being described as the "first" meeting with Meyer in discussions about him becoming the next Texas head football coach.
We're still chasing details from the meeting, but it seems like a very important step in the conversations between both parties has occurred.
The ball remains in Meyer's court. We'll keep you posted as details emerge.
