No, I have never posted the entire story and won't without the permission of one of people that was there and several who were involved in the "business side", and assurance that I won't be sued. I would NEVER reveal those on the "business side", but neither was I afraid of Powers suing me because I had enough dirt on him to not worry.

I don't think Bill started out to play us, and neither did he understand he was about to create a seam to fulfill his "legacy", which I don't think he planned or plotted. He truly thought what he did was a minor deal and it was HUGE.

To quote the great Kern Tipps, Bill tried to "make blueberry muffins out of mud pies", and it turned out the muffins were crappy and the market hated blueberries. It cost him his job.

I assure you there is no paper trail.
Why can't you tell the story without naming names?

And you could get stickers for your windows that were pennants for each of the SWC teams.

Dont laugh, as a kid I had small pennants for all the SWC teams back in the mid 60's. Forgot the source but there was a lot of conference pride back in those days.

Significant results in the poll so far to cut our loss and cancer by kicking TH to the curb.... but there are mail-in ballots that have not arrived yet.

Stay tuned.

Perhaps you didn't have a lot of friends at the law school.
Actually I only had two friends at UT one law school and the other journalism- that got a law degree from UCLA later.
I just didn’t see Powers as a guy that would be a ladies man based upon his demeanor.

55 brave HF posters have voted to date.... but Travis County is only reporting 41% so far.

Fire Tom leads Retain Tom with 62% at this time.

So I'm watching replay of KSU on LHN as I lurk HF... Horns lead 38 -24 but Jamison just returned kickoff 98 yards !!

Maybe Horns will outscore 'em this game ;)

Man I'm getting old. A guy named Bill Belichick also slipped my mind.

Plenty of duds too, you'd have to examine all of them and see how many succeeded and how many failed and got fired.

Point is, and I agree with it, after the Charlie Strong Experience and He-Man, Texas should look for a successful head coach at the same major conference level as the B12, not go into the various minor leagues like the All American Conference to pick a head coach, nor take a coordinator who's becoming head coach for the first time.

I'm new to these parts, and as my first official action on Hornfans I vote he's got to go. It goes well beyond wins and losses, it's his arrogance and demeanor, his handling of The Eyes, his approach to the fans, his finding anything and anyone else to blame for his failures, and just being an a**hole who has embarrassed my university. I'm not sure who the replacement is, but I'm sick of feeling my anger grow with each passing game and press conference. I hate that the anger is beginning to become apathy, and desperately want to see our school and squad relevant again.

The above shows how bad of a coach Herman is.

Would be bad enough just with his record, and lack of accomplishments. But that combined with his attitude, and slandering of fans during the offseason, has resulted in a horrid mess, of his making.

Sooner he's gone the better, problem is that won't be till next year it seems. You'd think if after 5 years the trophy case is empty, you'd can him and throw a net out for another coach.
