I think Texas could go 0-12 for the next 10 years straight and the penis envy from the nobody's would be the same as it is today.

I guess it comes down to one's definition of sucking.
There are many who think Texas being "mediocre " is sucking.
Herman's years have been considered suck years as well by many on here
 
For me...
.500 and below = suck
7-5 or 8-5, even 9-4, just different shades of mediocre.
10+ win seasons are good

Tom's tenure sucked because of issues not directly related to our record. Our record under Tom was mediocre.

I really wish people would stop with the DKR win loss records at lower level programs. People were / are hired on reputation by former bosses (head coaches). Royal was highly regarded, sark isn't.

Sark has 9 seasons under his belt, none of his teams were highly ranked at the end of the season. NONE. In DKRs first 9 seasons as a head coach his teams were ranked in the top 5 three times. Year ten was a MNC. Sark isn't sniffing that this year, or any.

Stop the comparison, people. It doesn't line up with reality.

I love college football.
The Horns are my team.
The beginning of the new season is like Christmas for me.
I WANT to be excited.
I AM excited to see player growth and see what new players have to offer.
It's a clean slate,
I refuse to be disappointed until the team/coach does something to disappoint me.
I don't understand why some choose to be so cynical and joyless.
It's a kids game.
It's meant to be fun.

Do you mean aside from your personal prejudiced opinions? Sark isn't highly regarded??? By whom??? Obviously you. Ask Saben what he thinks of Sark. Ask CDC what he thinks of Sark. Truth is, I don't give 1/2 of a turd whether or not you entertain my "feelings". Hate to be the 1 to break it to you, H2R, but your "truth" is actually your worth no more than that 1/2 turd I previously referenced.

Lot of emotions there, but still no high rankings by ANY Sarkisian team at the end of ANY season

I "liked" your post because it's what I want to believe also. Then I reflect on it and realize it's what aggies have been posting and wishing since i was born. "This year is different/ our year". Their year never comes, neither does any of Sarkisian's teams.

Mack had his detractors before 2005 but you knew it was a matter of time before he won a NC. Was a matter of when and how many.

"Seven win steve " was his nickname at Washington. He earned that name by his record, not how people "felt" about him. Best thing that can happen is we disappoint this season and make a great hire for 24. NIL guarantees us we'll have talent. Just need better coaching

That's what scares me. I agree nobody does until they do, but how many great ones take 9 years? And how many lose 5 games all by less than 1 score. I'm just not sure Sark will be able to overcome his stubbornness.

The same Mack Brown that won the b12 south division his 1rst year here. Did it again 2 years later.

It was a matter of when and how many given his past success. With Sarkisian, there's no record of success to suggest he'll succeed here or anywhere. Just hope. Hope is not a foundation.

Are you trying to equate 9 or 10 win seasons to championships? Are you trying to equate the south division to a championship? As I said, Mack was severely criticized for never winning a championship, until he did. To state otherwise is revisionist history at its finest.

Stop playing ignorant. Look at what I posted and deal with facts. **Mack was far more accomplished prior coming to Texas than Sarkisian**. If sark had any success whatsoever prior to coming here, you'd post it up. But you can't.

Mack accomplished these on his way to a NC.

Sarkisian has accomplished none of that. None. We go nowhere with sark. If the past 2 years of bad decisions on the sidelines won't convince you, nothing will
