Election Night

I'm confused by this one. I didn't think citizens of Guam were allowed to vote for president? "Citizens of Guam may not vote in general elections for President."
Presumably they put the race on the ballot for informational purposes just like Texas puts proposed legislation on the ballot here.

Reminder:

If you are voting Republican, today is your voting day.

If you are voting Democrat, tomorrow is your voting day.

We know GOP has added to their lead in ballots in FL, AZ, and NV. I don’t know if NC will be reporting ballot by party today.

I'm a little puzzled about tracking these numbers. There are enough non-party %'s/amounts to swing it big one way or the other. What am I missing?

Nothing. The issue here is voter enthusiasm and turnout. You have to look at polling data for voter preference. Again, different data for different purposes.

If this is not obvious to everyone:

- every state is different
- in some states, Indies lean left. In others, they lean right or not at all.
- in some states, party affiliation is highly predictive of voter preference. In other states they are not (crossover voters).

If the above is too confusing for you, ignore all prior posts and watch election results tonight.

Given the above uncertainties, there is a lot of personal opinion on how the state race will go. Basically everyone has an opinion that will be either confirmed or invalidated when the votes are counted. Just the way it is.
