Major League Baseball (which I've followed almost religiously for 36 years) hasn't lost me yet, but I'm afraid they eventually will.
I am in a state of belligerence against the MLB much like Andorra against Imperial Germany. That History Nerd: World War I Ended in 1919, but Andorra Fought On
1. The designated hitter is BS and not real baseball;
2. The Astros should be in the national league;
3. Interleague baseball must go. Separation of the leagues forever!;
4. The 1 game wild card is stupid; and
5. I am tired of the astros getting pooped on. They have been screwed over since they were the Houston Buffalos. Some examples:
a. Being forced into the vastly inferior american league;
b. Not being able to open the roof for the world series;
c. Being forced to play a hurricane game against the Cubs in Milwaukee that cost the Astros that divisional race;
d. On steroids, they falsely accused Bagwell and then tried to make Astro Clemens (who won his case twice) the face of it instead of the home run hitters Bonds, Macguire and Sosa because Mitchell was a red sox fan and mad they let Clemens go to early;
e. Getting scapegoated over sign stealing when it now appears everyone except maybe the Pittsburgh Pirates (who really need to start cheating) was doing the same thing. I mean, the whole thing is dumb. The astros are in trouble for a form of cheating which is legal and part of the game except the astros were doing it the wrong way except that everyone else (except the Pirates) was doing it the same wrong way (electronically) as well. People may not have kept up with it with the pandemic but the Red Sox and Yankees were both caught and neither received the same penalty as the astros. In reality, the astros are never supposed to win and the MLB had to punish them for doing so in 2017. The AL teams are also mad the astros joined and promptly won 2 AL titles proving the superiority of being an NL franchise once and for all.
