Don't trust Obama

4th, haven't you already gotten your answer numerous times? Obama honors the Anthem the way he was raised to, and the way many other good Americans were raised to, by singing along. Your continued insistence that this somehow makes him bad or untrustworthy is not only strange, it's ******* stupid.

going to the topic of Trinity Church, they do mention "Liberation", "Restoration" and "Economic Parity", each of which presumably pertains to African-Americans and not to the Senegalese or Rwandans.

would you hold a synogogue in contempt if they openly supported Israel and did not explictily say anything about America?

this thread reminds me of the weirdos who start the 9/11 conspiracy plots and are routinely dismissed, except for a few fellow weirdos.

Robert Byrd isn't here posting in this thread.

You are, and you're stupidly carrying on with this stupid ******** about Obama not being a good or trustworthy person because he doesn't put his hand over his heart during the national anthem. Then to further embarrass yourself, you somehow tie it to his church's commitment to supporting Africans.

If you can't figure out why this makes you look either racist or extremely stupid, then you may want to quit posting on the West Mall.

Hpslugga,

Excuse me?

Current Senator Robert Byrd (Democrat) West Virginia is an admitted former KKK member. Name a serving republican member of Congress that was a menber of the KKK, or even a recent member of Congress?

First of all, the cartoon is a literary device. It's not a "literal device." If you can't see the difference between the two, then there's no point in this discussion. Second of all, my last post had jack to do with Robert Byrd and everything to do with your own confession to not being able to stand seeing a piece of **** empty suit like George Allen being mocked in a cartoon that wasn't even meant to be taken literally. You said "I won't let that go without a rebuttal." Which begged my question: are you that loyal to the Republican Party that you can't even stand to see a guy being (correctly) mocked. No one accused George Allen of being a KKK member. Furthermore, no one is denying Byrd is a former member of that very organization. Your use of "you too" fallacies are as useless as this thread in general.

lately, Kenyan gangs have been attacking each other with bows and arrows. This leads to the obvious question, 4th&5, do you think Obama wants to hunt you down with bows and arrows?

I'm not even a Texans fan. If you're gonna resort to irrelevant ad hominems, at least get the team right. You've embarrassed yourself enough.

And no, a cartoon with him dressed as a KKK member is not an accusation. George Allen, in case you didn't remember, revealed himself to be a racist 2 years ago. That cartoon is an overexaggeration. It's a literary style that many cartoonists have adopted over the centuries, especially in politics. The theme of that picture is that George Allen is a racist. The humor in the drawing isn't the wardrobe itself. It's what he says about the wardrobe. That's an allusion (a literary device) to him calling S.R. Sidharth "macaca" and later exclaiming over and over again "I'm not a racist" even though there's profound evidence to the contrary. The cartoon provides an exaggeration. It's the same thing as Will Ferrell dressing up as Janet Reno on Saturday Night Live and acting all masculine. He's not seriously suggesting Reno has testicles. It's an exaggeration. If you can't see that, you have a sense of humor that of a 5th grader.
