I didn't see really start to loath the Astros until the early '90s. It might be because they gave up on Nolan Ryan just as he was about to reach his biggest milestones and when he still very clearly had plenty left in the tank. Since I was in Dallas I got to see them in Arlington, so it was a blessing in a way. But the Astros still pissed me off.
Prior to that, I was largely indifferent to the Astros.
