CWS 2022

Taylor Ellsworth and Miranda Elish left Texas for greener pastures. Wonder how they feel now???

Gotta say I giggled a little when Elish grounded into a double play against Texas to end her career. :smokin: I don't blame Taylor for leaving. At least she got to play and she played very well this year for Arky.

I am like many of you who question Mike White’s decisions……but by god look at the results!! I never would have imagined early or even in the middle of their season that we would end up as one of the last 2 teams standing!!

So proud of this team, I had wrote them off quite a bit early on. I thought we could make supers didn't think a finals appearance was coming. would like to take back every ill thing posted about Coach White, his mix match line ups have been working.

Watched the handshake line hard to see the Elish tears. Felt bad for Ellsworth, giddy over the loss for drama queen.

Beating Okie Lite back to back on the same day takes a lot of character. I have always been a fan of women’s softball. These ladies take that like to a new level.

I just looked at the roster and so much of this team is FR and SO Scott...Dayton...Day...Washington...Smith...Popelka...Czech...Simpson. Don't know what Mike's got coming in...but the future looks bright

When Elish grounds into the double play to end the fifth inning you can barely see her starting to cry before the camera cuts away, then you can see her and a couple others hugging coach Gujeski and crying pretty hard at the very end.

I typically hate Seeing athletes experiencing this but with these OKST players I don’t mind so much. They have been very cocky while having our number the past couple years, especially #55. Don’t much care for the trolling of their fanbase on our Twitter every time we lose to them either. About midway through the game when we were down 5-0 it showed some preteen girls throwing up the horns down and then in the last half inning it cut back to those same girls crying which I thought was pretty funny.

What a game! It was over as soon as we took the lead in the fifth; you could tell that they completely gave up and they still had 9 outs to go! They all looked defeated after that and it was VERY obvious, even their coach had that look. They didn’t put together a single decent at bat again against Dolcini. The lack of fight was disappointing to see as a softball fan to be honest.

couldn’t be more proud of this team and ready for another crack at OU - what a season it has been

I love that we dont over celebrate any of the normal/ routine plays. I think it has helped us get this far. Stay calms and in the moment helps when you are down. If you over celebrate and get too high and they come back you can only feel defeat.

Plus its kind of annoying, just like Alexander for OSU and Coleman for OU. Love our humility approach.

coach white says Shea was never able to return to form after her ‘freak accident’ … does anyone remember what happened?

Within my family, I asked if it came down to a OU vs OSU game, who would you root for. My wife said, "There is no way I could ever root for OU. Sorry. No way." My response was I despise OSU and their poor sportsmanship/showboating style. That's all a reflection of their HC and that's also why they've made the playoffs every year he's been coach. From the Samantha Show bat flips to their stop and stares of their long HRs, they've always made me hate them.

And consequently as petty, classless fans (my family) we were celebrating their sadness as the camera panned along the dugout. Especially for a former Longhorn.

I'll give the OU team this much. They remind me of Nebraska's mid-nineties football teams. They are so accustomed to winning they don't feel like they have to be classless while pounding your face in.

OSU does not fit that mold. At all. It feels good to upset them.

I had to laugh out loud at the picture of the team celebrating on the field and Bella Dayton on the perimeter looking like a little kid saying “let me in, let me in!” What a game, what a team!!

In the postgame presser coach white says Shea was never able to return to form after her ‘freak accident’ … does anyone remember what happened?

Came to post the same thing. That explains why Shea has not been herself this season. Whatever it was must have been really bad for it to still be affecting her. I do remember her having a boot on for a while I’m just not sure what happened.
