Cutoff for championship tickets?

I'm at a $1000 and got email! But it also states there's NO guarantee of getting tickets...

$1,500 and no emails yet. Confused - but being patient at this point since I'm sure they are gettting lots of calls.

Saw the link above to the Birmingham News indicating 25,000 tickets to each school. Then saw this in the Tuscaloosa News:

"There will be no public sale of tickets through UA, who, like Texas, is allotted 19,000 tickets, said Doug Walker, spokesman for UA athletics."

I can't find the old post, but somebody posted a link to a Tournament of Roses site or some such that indicates how many tickets are alloted to each school. Have searched the TOR site but can't find that info.

Anybody have concrete info on how many tickets are allotted to each school?

i would not be the least bit surprised if the cut off is 1200.00. the north end zone has chairbacks that cost 750.00 per chair, this was not available in 2005. the ante will be up considerably due to nez chairbacks and the addition of more suites.

I'm confused, your history of giving no longer is taken into consideration? We've been donating 1200 for almost 20 years, if I get skipped over due to someone donating a couple hundred more in one year I'll be pretty upset.

Your cumulative history IS taken into account as a tie-breaker between folks who have the same annual donation this year.

$2300 and got the e-mail...

I thought in 2006 the schools got 25,000 and the LHF ended up with 22,500 tickets...

Does anyone remember what the school allotment was in 2006?

I have no idea why it takes the LF so long to figure this out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there seem to three pieces to this:

1. Donation Level - determined ~8 months ago
2. Demand - determined ~ 1 week ago
3. Allotment of tickets - determined 1 day ago

Seriously, with 1 and 2 known for awhile I cannot understand why it takes more than 30 minutes to figure out who is in and who is out after knowing the supply.

LF donors deserve a faster response so they can plan accordingly, IMO.

H-D Rider gets the email at $1000. hornlong's source says the cutoff is $1500. I would say we have a truth battle on our hands!

Who will win? Stay tuned!

they jsut magically figured it out this morning, those people are ridiculous in there, shouldnt take this long and how do you say 4k for big 12 and its more like 1500?
that many more high donors are going to LA over driving to Dallas?

I'm at $1,500 and have no email. Between spells of kicking myself for not giving $1,550, I'm going to call LHF and get to the bottom of this. I expect nothing but accuracy and honesty from them!!!

I received this at 6 pm monday. Name is left off for obvious reasons.

"There will be an email sent tomorrow morning letting donors under $1500
know their requests for Bowl tickets will not be filled. Wanted you to
hear it from me first. "

Email update... this will help a little!

Just received an email from the Houston Longhorn Club and this is what it said...

BCS National Championship Tickets!

I received word yesterday from the University that the current cut-off level for tickets is now at $1,500 a year donations for our allotment. For those of you who donate $1,500, you will be differentiated by your lifetime donation amount. Much more information will be known after December 14th or 15th.

Given the fact the LF hasn't sent out **** for a notification and I get this note from the HLC, I'll have to wait to see what the hell the LF is doing!!!
