Deez, I think you were talking about the liability but not the connection to children getting the approval and that connection. I think it makes a lot more sense as to why it becomes an issue of getting children vaxxed. It’s really disgusting pushing the vac on children when you consider the absolute minimal negative effects the CCP virus has on children.

I wasn't talking about that, because that wasn't an issue when I was beating this horse. In fact, vaccine mandates in general weren't even an issue yet. What RFK is talking about is an issue that's derivative of the broader tort immunity problem with the vaccine. The drugmakers want to be able to say "our vaccine is safe" and use that as a be marketing point to sell the vaccine but then say "don't look to us if things go badly." Well, that invites abuse, fraud, and injustice no matter who we're talking about.

Democrats across the country are scrambling to reverse course on COVID-19 restrictions as this year's midterm elections loom.

With the notable exception of the White House, Democrats at every level are signaling their support for returning to normal as polls show Americans are weary of coronavirus restrictions, which Republican states have largely done away with.

According to a recent poll by Monmouth University, 70% of Americans say it’s time for the country to move on from the pandemic, and a decreasing number of Americans support COVID-related mandates. President Biden’s approval ratings on handling COVID, once a strength, are also now underwater, with 43% approving and 53% disapproving, according to the poll.

Biden has chosen to follow the lead of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which still recommends universal masking indoors and in schools.

But with the midterms ahead, many Democrats who once led the way in issuing lockdown orders and mandates over the course of the pandemic are easing restrictions in their states in defiance of the administration.

Numerous blue state governors this week have announced that they are rolling back coronavirus restrictions, and prominent congressional Democrats have also signaled their support for returning to normal.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that her state will end its COVID-19 mandate requiring face coverings in most indoor public settings but will keep it for schools. Illinois announced the same.

Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee said Wednesday his state will end its indoor vaccine-or-mask requirement this week, followed by the school mask mandate in March. Massachusetts, which is generally considered a blue state but has a centrist Republican governor, will end its school mask mandate at the end of the month.

Earlier this week, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware all disclosed plans to join states that have lifted or never had mask requirements for their schools.

Swing states like Michigan, Colorado and Pennsylvania were among the first Democrat-led states to loosen COVID-19 restrictions last year. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who is up for reelection this year, implemented some of the strictest COVID-19 orders in the country in 2020, including banning travel between two residences and the selling of non-essential goods. She lifted most of her restrictions last summer and has since pushed vaccinations as the best way to slow the spread.

The movement to "move on" from the pandemic appears to have sped up in recent days as new coronavirus cases decrease following the omicron variant surge. Also expediting matters: A new Johns Hopkins study saying the lockdowns of 2020 did little to curb the COVID-19 death rate and a new guidance Friday by the CDC saying the popular cloth masks accepted by most mandates are the least effective in preventing the spread.

I only wear one when boarding and while on the plane. That’s because I don’t want to force the airline employees into a bad situation that isn’t their fault. Also, have to wear it to get through security.

When in the terminal, I do not wear a mask and no TSA employee says anything.

Oh my gosh Bubba, I cannot argue against that point but my question is that number is so low how do you know getting the vaccine would not do harm to more of them. Just my opinion of course but I do not personally believe there has been enough research to eliminate such concern. I would suspect the myocarditis cases among the young boys exceed those poor families to which you refer but I haven’t researched it. As I’ve said before, the whole thing sucks.

Vaccines make a difference. Neil Young suffered from polio as a child and that played a huge role in informing his opinions on Rogan. I agree the whole thing sucks. But, some here act like every death from COVID was either someone already on their death bed, some death DIRECTLY related to the vaccine, or some huge fat *** who put a cream filled donut to their head instead of a gun. That's disingenuous. People in ICU and the death rates speak GREATLY to the efficacy of the vaccines yet there are people here who swim in alternate facts. I don't get it.

Bubba, ou make some correct statements but ignore other things.

First, the vaccines did initially provide a reduction in symptoms. That means some lives were saved. That's great. However, the vaccine affect quickly abates.

Second, the above fact leads to a push for "boosters". Again they could help some. However, each time someone takes this vaccine they 1) most likely are sick for a few days anyway and 2) your immune system responds in ways that are not positive. Antibody dependent enhancement and Vaccine Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome are real things we should be concerned with. That means while the vaccine can be a benefit to some they also pose a risk if they are used repeatedly on the whole population. That leads to the last point.

Third, most people are far more against mandates than the vaccine itself. There are political and medical freedom issues. People are fired or not searching for work because of mandates. There is civil unrest. Society is being segregated based on this issue. Add that to the medical concerns I already mentioned.

So sick, pun intended, of the characterization of people who think the covid shot is mostly BS as "anti vaccine". Excuse me, I have all the vaccines that actually prevent me from manifesting symptoms of the viruses they work against. I don't get flu shots or covid shots just crossing my fingers that I may just have reduced symptoms from flu or covid.

Good for those of you who have fallen for it. Have at it. Just don't keep trying to convince me and others, due to some false narrative of saving hospital beds, or more comically, keeping those of you who got the shot from getting covid, to get the jab. Not interested.

Big difference between true vaccines and shots that may or may not reduce symptoms of a virus.

So sick, pun intended, of the characterization of people who think the covid shot is mostly BS as "anti vaccine". Excuse me, I have all the vaccines that actually prevent me from manifesting symptoms of the viruses they work against. I don't get flu shots or covid shots just crossing my fingers that I may just have reduced symptoms from flu or covid.

Good for those of you who have fallen for it. Have at it. Just don't keep trying to convince me and others, due to some false narrative of saving hospital beds, or more comically, keeping those of you who got the shot from getting covid, to get the jab. Not interested.

I'm sick, stealing your pun, of you denigrating this vaccine and refusing to call it a vaccine for no good reason. Both Ray Epps and I will not let this affront stand!

I mean, seriously, it's a vaccine and it's more effective than the flu vaccine that's a vaccine as well. It's as silly as Lincoln Riley saying he didn't eat Olive Garden last night, he ate italian food from Postmates. :)
