They will either claim that the numbers are manipulated OR, alternately, that reporting is just delayed due to the holiday weekend (or both). We will know better this afternoon when they update...IF there were holiday-related delays, it should show up in this afternoon's posting. What will the naysayers say now? Us opening up was supposed to create the next Hot spot
Perhaps not...but she is giving AOC a damned good race LOL!She'll never surpass AOC.
And may I respectfully add, **** these police.
at least they haven't gone all Gangnam Style on it yetWill the new vogue “Karen” calling survive much longer? I feel like I’m watching the Macarena dance at this point.

Who here would get the vaccine when it’s ready?
By the way, on a largely unrelated matter, if any of you wonder what it's like to have a colonoscopy without being sedated, unfortunately, I can tell you what that's like. It happened to me on Monday. It's no picnic.
A guy I know had that. Midway through the procedure, the doctor said "Don't worry about the erection. It's perfectly normal."
Puzzled, the guy responded " I don't have an erection."
"I wasn't talking about you."
Try to relax the sphincter. I thought you and JF had some sort of commentary on that.My doctor was German, so he had no sense of humor. And this wasn't supposed to be non-sedated. I got a shot of something that was supposed to make me zonk out, and it just didn't happen. Rather than try to figure out why, the doctor just started shovin'. (Apparently Germans frequently do these without sedation.) The actual procedure wasn't all that painful but was very uncomfortable, especially the "entry." And because they inflate everything, the stomach ache afterwards was fairly painful for about 2 hours.
Is your doctor also a dentist? If you got propofol, you would have woken up from the deepest rest you ever had wishing for a double cheese Whataburger and fries. I now question German medicine. My doctor was German, so he had no sense of humor. And this wasn't supposed to be non-sedated. That’s some very excellent stuff. However, being in SoCal, it would be In ‘N Out and a double double.propofol

Is that when you had the 30 second fart?
I read “MrDeez FOS - German Doctor No Anesthesia Edition”, and we’re now waiting for the video to confirm, under the “pics or gtfo” statute. Exam may have happened on a bus.
Very disappointed.
I came here to discuss my weekend in Matagorda Beach vis a vis the virus and instead can't stop laughing about the 30 second fart and Mr. Deez white knuckling a probe... Jesus....

The average deaths per year from flu is about 40,000 in the US. COVID now is at 100,000 as the virus is trailing off, overall in the US.
That is with a vaccine and built up immunities. Comparing COVID to Flu isn't fair to COVID at this point. Once people get more exposure to COVID strains and mutate to be less virulent, the hospitalizations and deaths will most likely come down.
If there is a vaccine that will further help. But who knows when a real treatment or vaccine will be available. May still be years.
I just googled it. Evidently the CDC can't count since just my search of 2017-2018 come up with 3 different CDC numbers
The CDC estimates that between 46,000 and 95,000 Americans died due to influenza during the 2017-18 flu season.
This link below says 80K
CDC: 80,000 people died of flu last winter in the U.S. - STAT
Estimated Influenza Illnesses, Medical visits, Hospitalizations, and Deaths in the United States — 2017–2018 influenza season | CDCFrom the link above:CDC officials called the 80,000 figure preliminary, and it may be slightly revised. But they said it is not expected to go down.
So Redfield while on a speech tour to promote flu vaccinations quoted a preliminary number that subsequently was revised downward when the resullts were finalized. CDC results for previous provided previously.
