Coronavirus

What was the reasoning behind that?

I stand by a restaurant's decision to open or close whenever they damn well please. But I also stand by the right of a landlord to require certain hours of operation.

This is particularly important in the case of an airport, where restaurants are strategically scattered around so that patrons can eat before or between flights. It is quite reasonable for an airport to refuse to lease to a restaurant that closes every Sunday.

Of course, the San Antonio City Council's real reason for refusing to lease to Chic-Fil-A might be somewhat different. I'm just saying that a legitimate reason exists.

Chick Fil A founder refused to issue a statement supporting gay marriage. That angered the SA City Council and other liberal entities.

I looked this up and you are right. The SA City Counsel explicitly said it was refusing to do business with Chick-Fil-A because they donated to anti-LGBT organizations. In addition to being morally and legally inappropriate, this is also stupid because they could've asserted the Sunday thing.

SA refused Chic-Fil-A a slot at the airport due to the Owner'view that marriage is between a man and a woman. The restaurant does not discriminate either in hiring or serving.

You have as much credibility as CNN, Washington Post or NYT.

In other words, I take nothing you say as fact.
The Washington Post and New York Times may have a liberal bias, but they employ smart, fact loving people, unlike a lot of right wing media that is simply a collection of anger-spreading spin doctors.

I didn't know San Antonio was such a PC hell hole. Won't be moving there.

It's not Baltimore or Detroit, but it's been a Democratic stronghold for as long as I can remember. The median household income for San Antonio is something like $56,000. Only 56% of San Antonians speak English. Also, I've heard that it has more people that go hungry than any big city in the country. Did you see the food lines for the Corona virus handouts? They were so long they made the national news. In short, lots of San Antonians are on the government dole. They vote for Democrats.

When I moved to Texas (Austin) in 1991, the perception was that SA was the regional leader both economically and culturally and Austin the follower. Obviously that has reversed due to tech economy and downsizing of the military. Today, people think SA is closer to Laredo than Austin in a lot of areas.

This is from 2017. It came up first. I know there are more recent lies, er, um, errors reported by the slimes and compost, but it's not worth my time to search for them.

So States are actually focusing their testing on suspected sick. The tested population isn't widening. Still, the % positive is going down.
