Comey and Mueller

You know Joe, Comey and Brennan being Commies makes the most sense out of all this.

Sounds to me like they are still Commies.

A fairly short editorial from ZeroHedge/James Howard Kunstler --

" ..... The evidence already public indicates that Robert Mueller must have known as early as the date of his appointment (and likely before) that the predicating evidence for his inquiry was false. After all, his soon-to-be lead prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann, was informed of that in no uncertain terms by his DOJ colleague, Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, in 2016. Justice may seek to know why Mr. Mueller did not inform the target of his inquiry that this was so. The answer to that may be that Mr. Mueller’s true mission was to disable Mr. Trump as long as possible while setting an obstruction of justice trap — which also failed tactically.

Notice that Mr. Mueller declined to testify before the House Judiciary Committee last week. Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) was a fool to invite him. Did he not know that minority members of his committee get to ask questions too?

In an interesting turn of the screw last week, polling showed that a majority of those asked were in favor of investigations into the origin of the RussiaGate story. The FBI, being an agency under the direct supervision of the Attorney General, will be hosed out for sure. The CIA, on the other hand, has a sordid history of acting as a sovereign state within the state — hence the derivation of the Deep State. They are renowned for protecting their own. Remember, the Senate Minority Leader, Mr. Schumer, snidely told the incoming President Trump at the get-go that the Intel community “has six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” I guess we’ll finally get to see about that because the CIA’s former director, the wicked Mr. Brennan, is grand jury bound. I suspect he will not be protected by his former colleagues. His downfall may presage a more thorough cleanup, and perhaps a major reorganization, of this monstrous agency.

The indictment of Julian Assange adds a big wrinkle to these upcoming proceedings. Apart for what it means to First Amendment protection for a free press (no small matter), Mr. Assange is the one person who actually knows who handed over the “hacked” DNC emails to Wikileaks. Perhaps getting the answer to that question is the real reason that the DOJ is throwing the book at him. The trial of Mr. Assange is sure to be a humdinger....."
Trump Strikes Back

The Huber part of all of this may start becoming more public starting Monday....We havent heard much about what Huber and the other USAs have been doing ....

Turns out Huber has the same work ethic as the man who appointed him, Jeff Sessions.

One of the things Nadler is digging for is to see what DOJ is still looking into and give the potential future criminal Democrat defendants a heads up. So DOJ responded to his probes with a letter which sheds some light on where John Durham’s investigation is going. Based on that letter, it appears to be a pretty broad review, including false statements, FISA abuse, leaks and even the participation of UK and Australian Intel. Indeed, some maintain the role of the UK Govt in all of this was much larger than the role of the Russian Govt. But also included is a look at "non-governmental'" personnel which I take to mean people like Glenn Simpson/Fusion GPS and Nellie Ohr

Something else the Durham's team is investigating with regard to SpyGate is all of the trips to Langley (and London) taken by Bill Priestap, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok during the relevant time period.

Hillary actually paid a foreign agent for dirt on Trump. Does that matter to you LongestHorn?

For the record, I agree with Weintraub. I just wish she agree with herself when the Clintons were taking donations from China and paying foreigners for dirt.

From the NYpost -- "Did a dirty intelligence op create the ‘collusion’ probe?"

"Hidden behind a wall of secrecy is the truth about what really happened during the FBI and CIA’s joint investigation of the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016.

Was it, as former President Barack Obama’s top cop and spy insist, an honest national security probe? Or was it, as Republicans suspect, a domestic political intelligence operation to “dirty up” then-candidate Donald Trump?

Attorney General William Barr doesn’t buy the Team Obama story and is investigating the investigation. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s failure to find evidence of “collusion” bolsters Barr’s hunch.

Trump’s granted Barr the rare unilateral power to declassify sensitive documents held by the CIA and FBI to help him examine events that took place before July 31, 2016, when the FBI claims it opened its probe. Barr will look especially at the CIA’s alleged targeting of the Trump campaign (the agency is prohibited by law from targeting domestic actors)....."

Also from that story^

Barr will also seek to declassify an Obama-era “interagency memorandum of understanding” signed by the FBI and CIA enabling outside contractors -- including possibly Fusion GPS -- to gain “improper access" to raw FISA data from November 2015 to April 2016.

Chris Wallace is calling this a "disaster" for Democrats and a "disaster" for Mueller's reputation.

Page: “Trump’s not ever going to become president, right? Right?”

Strzok: “No…we’ll stop him”

Gaetz: “Did Bob Mueller ever ask you about that text message?”

Strzok: “He did not.”

McConnnell quote on the big Mueller hearing --

“Honestly, I haven’t paid a bit of attention to it. And I don’t intend to watch it.”

At all?

“Nope. My view is that it’s over... I think Democrats are having a really hard time letting it go.”

I'm at work, so I can't watch much of it. I've peaked in a few times and poor Mueller seems like a doddering old man, confused and unsure of himself. Frankly anything new from his testimony would be suspect.

It appears he was merely a figurehead, appointed solely to give nominal cover to a pack a rabbid Democrat federal prosecutors.

“The reason, again, that you did not indict Donald Trump is because of OLC opinion that you cannot indict a sitting president, correct?” Lieu asked Mueller.

“That is correct,” Mueller replied.

That's not what Mueller told Barr. Mueller is digging himself a ditch.
