Chance of Football in 2020

Betcha there's a flaming liberal(s) pulling strings in the Big 10. I would bet that "vote" was totally politicized.

Daily cases were 40k today in the US, down from a peak of 68k (7 day average). Rates are dropping fast as states are running out of surplus, unreported cases. Cases will be at the pre-June level by Oct 1 (<25k). Then the fun will begin in B10 country.

Bevo and Smokey the Cannon will be at games

Running counter to the NFL which is not allowing cheerleaders or mascots

Just saw this on google news but the link does not work. My guess it was taken down.

Warren is in no way qualified nor possesses the intelligence to handle these situations. Somebody needs to send him a Wylie Coyote uniform.

Guess the opt out and positives are concerning Ou sucketh.
I searched SI and there is no story. Probably true that OU ain’t liking the situation. Maybe they see Texas as the favorite and wish for a cancelled season.

Would Sam stay and play another?

I don't think he knows. Doubtful he will go in first couple of rounds unless 7-8 other QBs opt to not come out. Otherwise, why wouldn't he come back, improve his draft stock, make Texas pay for his MBA or first year of law school?

His decision will be dependent on several other college students.

I doubt it, too....but I did see a couple teams noted w second round grades/projections for him, so.....

Here's some insight on ou as the season approaches.....
Oklahoma's bad offseason has Sooners showing cracks

I'll add they have also struggled with handling of covid and we should give props to TH and the rest of our leadership for their handling of it in regards to keeping guys engaged, training, planning, safety and equipment preparedness, etc. Looks like we are a team ready to go and they do not. Like with many other arenas in our culture and society, the pandemic has had a magical way of stripping back layers and revealing who's who and what's what.

Please let’s keep politics on the West Mall, not the sports forums — thanks.

I understand what you mean but the problem is that this issue has become inherently political. Let me give you just one example

If you are a high school football player and you want to play this season, this rule is generally --
(1) You can play if you live in a state with a Republican governor
(2) You cannot play if you live in a state with a Democrat governor
There may be an exception or two but this is the general lay of the land
If we state this, it is not us making it political, it is just stating the facts.
They are the ones who made it political, not us
