I think those 4 weeks are big for Ewers, as is the game. Get him ready against a quality opponent, to make a run for the CFP next September.but the extra weeks of practice....that doesn't matter.

SA is a fantastic place to enjoy, particularly the river walk, Pearl and Southtown which are all in and around downtown where the Alamodome is located. Food, booze and party atmosphere in general.
Remember when Texas was a regular at The Bluebonnet Bowl?I guess the Alamo Bowl is our new Holiday Bowl. That thing still around?

My first bowl game as a kid to see a Texas whip Archie Manning and Ole Miss.Remember when Texas was a regular at The Bluebonnet Bowl?
I didn't think he played at Ole Miss until 1968 and that game was 1966. But, it must have been fun.My first bowl game as a kid to see a Texas whip Archie Manning and Ole Miss.
Again, I have been critical of him as well but I think that the expectations for this first year player (less than a full season, and returning from an injury) have been unrealistic. His perfect rating coming out of HS has worked against him.I really don't see it. He's had 2 1/2 years of practice and a full season under his belt. Maybe the time to clear his head again would be good. I saw the deer he bagged. That has to be a great time for him to be in nature and get things mentally straightened out much better than more practice.
How about DKR-South?Should rename it the Longhorn Bowl or the Not Ready for Prime Time Bowl.
I scored a Sugar Bowl cap from my daughter (then in the LHB). She thought the Sugar Bowl experience was a great end to her band career.I actually scored an Alamo Bowl watch from a player (that shall remain nameless). One of the coolest watches I own.
I could easily name 3 locally owned Tex-Mex places in my town that are better than anything on the Riverwalk. But the folks from Washington won’t know the difference. Not a fan. The riverwalk stinks and the traditionally good food down there has deteriorated over the past 10 years. Anyone on our team can take a trip down anytime they want to. Like I said, I'm sure Washington is going to love it.
You can't believe that Texas fans are tired of Texas being irrelevant and in sub tier bowls unless they back in to a bowl because OU is in the playoff?Man I cant believe so many are crapping on a bowl game just down the street. After 5-7 ill take it all day long.
Same thingRemember when Texas was a regular at The Bluebonnet Bowl?
If the only 2 options are no bowl or the Longhorn bowl, yeah.Man I cant believe so many are crapping on a bowl game just down the street. After 5-7 ill take it all day long.
The extra time is more important for the OL. If they improve enough to give Ewer time to throwAgain, I have been critical of him as well but I think that the expectations for this first year player (less than a full season, and returning from an injury) have been unrealistic. The extra time
If as I suspect, he lights it up in the Alamo Bowl, watch the narrative change instantly, and the criticism dissipate like steam.
Who cares about getting posters off his back? Let's get opposing defenses off his back. The extra time is more important for the OL. If they improve enough to give Ewer time to throw
will help him much more than the 4 weeks and get some of our posters off his back.
I would prefer Mickey Mouse WorldSA is a fantastic place to enjoy, particularly the river walk, Pearl and Southtown which are all in and around downtown where the Alamodome is located. Food, booze and party atmosphere in general.
Colorado thinks he is ready.Should rename it the Not Ready for Prime Time Bowl.
I guess Texas could have turned down the Alamo invite but what team, city, half empty venue would the anti-Alamorians on here want? Realistically considering our record. If the only 2 options are no bowl or the Longhorn bowl, yeah.
Next year? So, that is when, after wandering the desert for over a decade, that things should be righted? Why all the bad mojo? It's the best bowl we've been in since 2009 (besides hick up in Sugar). Ya'll act like we are going to New Years's Day bowls ever year. It's a great matchup, top 12 team. Now if we aren't in a Major bowl next year, then complain...
Wil Washington's QB skip it and go pro? Bijan skip it?
Sugar bowl vs GA was better, but I get your point. Why all the bad mojo? It's the best bowl we've been in since 2009 (besides hick up in Sugar). 2005. My wife’s last time was 2010. Hate being older than dirt.65,
When was the last time you were at Mickey World?
