Blocking Sled

This may be old news to those who spend more time here. I was driving back to my office here in Austin and when I looked down from the elevated portion of I-35 parked on the grass next to the indoor practice facility was a new looking silver blocking sled long enough for the entire offensive line.

I heard Greg Davis had it pulled from mothballs so that the linemen could have something to lean on while they drink their Gatorade.

I'm pretty sure that the two old, rusty blocking sleds that have been serving as a trellis (and sometime substitute fire-hydrant for my dog) for various weeds and vines by the creek at the intramural fields are now gone. Could these be the ones you've seen?

That sled looks awful light to me. Maybe thats because its just not as bulky as the ones we pushed in practice in HS. Also Madden liked his blocking sled so much from when he was with the raiders that he named it and had it moved to his house after he retired.
