That last second shot by Jones was how BU's first half went. Should have been a miss and a transition bucket for a 5 or 6 pt turnaround from what happened dang it

Texas offense runs through the bigs and they suck. When she goes with the athletic guard line up, the offense runs a little more fluid.
 
Travis should talk Coach into playing a zone for a few minutes. Just to see how it works. It worked for them against Cal last year. JMO.
 
I want to know why Jones could dribble, kick the ball and then pick it up and start dribbling again without that being a TO.

Horns are in striking distance but we need more from our posts, especially Imani. They are hitting about 7% better than us but they are getting more layups while we have missed several pointblank shots.

We are in good position but will need to play better defense on Davis. She is slippery as a wet bar of soap. It would be nice to see LaShann get more minutes this half.
 
Also, our guards need to have a plan when the take the ball inside. You can't try take take regular layups when you're trying to score over a post player. Celina needs to use a runner or floater when she gets into the lane.
 
I agree that Brooke, Ariel, and Lashann have to play most of the time. Lashann is too much an offensive threat to spend so much time on the bench. Come on, coach. She makes mistakes, but don't they all? Taylor brings nothing offensively, and we don't have the luxury for that. Baylor's bigs just seem to be too quick for Imani, even though we know just what moves they are going to make. Frustrating.

Kelsey with 8 pts is our leading scorer. Brooke is next with five. Imani has seven rebs to go with four pts.

Davis has 12 pts to lead BU. Mompremier leads with 5 rebs.

Teams are tied with 18 rebs. Horns are 12-32 while BU is 15-31 from the field. Horns are 0-1 from the FT line with BU 5-7.
 
I swear Ariel was like this in highschool she just pressed her first 2 years. Tasia was extremely better for the first 2 years. I think Tasia was close to leading the area in scoring as a sophomore. The next year Ariel just turned into something special... I hope that happens next year.
 
we are letting it get away early. Another dry spell to start the second half. Can't have these and expect to win.

Very true. She would drive everyone crazy with silly fouls.
 
Empress is not our best offensive option on the floor. The others need to present themselves so that she is not left to try to do the scoring.
