Like I’ve said all along, Texas winning the conference and getting into the playoff is good financially for all Big 12 teams. These are businesses and they recognize the financial benefits.

Texas played exactly the way they needed to. The Horns showed up and were outstanding from the start and but for a couple of mistakes this was 49 to 21 bordering on about 63 to 7 and that is exactly what Texas needed to show the CFP committee. It all comes down now to Louisville beating Florida State tonight. I don’t put much faith in Alabama beating Georgia and I definitely don’t put much faith in the committee not putting the SEC champion to the playoffs so we really need Louisville to beat Florida State. Leaving the Big 12 exactly the way they needed to conference champions, forever.

Getting into the CFP would be gravy, but I'm not going to sit here on pins and needles and let it ruin my day if it doesn't happen. This all reminds me of the Texas teams in '04-'05. Beat Meatchicken in the Rose Bowl, then returned a year and three days later to beat USC and win a natty.

That all happened during some great recruiting years, and we may be exceeding those years right now. In the playoffs or out, the future is bright for Texas.

Hey y’all. I’m fired up about our win but we still need help. I just want to reiterate: if we want to avoid a drama free selection tomorrow, then we want Georgia to win and Florida State to lose. I know there are a bunch of folks still talking about Alabama, but we need them to lose. If Alabama wins Georgia will not fall below us.
