Baltimore Crime Rate Soaring

This from the Union head is infuriating.
"because they knew what they were getting into and still showed up anyway,"
NO they didn't know what they were getting into. They KNEW he was a multi time loser who had led police on high speed chases but there was no history of shooting at cops.
The Union head should be raging at the court system for always letting the thug go
AND making sure the 2 people in the house are arrested

The two women? It might just be that they were scared for their own lives and weren't about to intervene because of that. Or, it might be they helped the dead loser out.

One of those scenarios should end in an arrest, but the other one shouldn't.
 
I hadn't read they were both women. Hard to believe they didn't hear the police id themselves especially knowing this history of the male. And they surely knew his history

Yes, and knowing that history, wouldn't this be a good reason to be extremely frightened and scared for their own safety/lives?

Like I said, those two may have been hiding, or they may have been helping. Nobody knows yet, but the cops don't seem too keen on arresting them at this point, so your demand of the union head seems premature at best.
 
The occupants of the house knowing the history of so many arrests and missed court dates by thug shouldn't have been surprised by LEO coming with warrant to arrest him. Why would they be so concerned for their safety that they'd shoot at cops?
 
Where are you getting info that they shot at cops?

Initial reports from the police said there might have been more than one shooter. As I understand it, police have backed off that assertion and are now operating under the idea that only one person was firing on them.
 
The report I read from NYT said police were shot at as they were at shooters body.
Just like all early reporting of incidents this could have changed. Have not seen updates or corrections
 
According to link that was the 6th Postal Robbery in a month in Bay area. Now that SNAP and SS checks aren't mailed you wouldn't think postal theft would be so lucrative

Agree. I kinda' thought mail theft had more or less morphed into porch piracy.

Maybe these folks are just old school.
