American Idol ...

While most were ok tonight, the only memorable performance for me was Chikezie's. He came strong with it.

Gettin' stronger every week. I'm tellin' y'all, this kid has something.

Syesha was next best tonight, imho.

...and BTW, what method do y'all think Secrest used to get high on crack pre-show tonight? The pipe? Injection? He was definitely high on something. Been hangin' w/Paula too long.

Dude, Syesha was bad.

In order...

1. David Cook
2. Brooke White
3. Chikezie

12. David Archuleta. He forgot the words three times and the rest didn't sound that good.

She just really had no presence. She came across as small on a big stage.

A lot of these girls try to hit low notes at the start of their songs so that they can hit those high notes later. It makes for a very, very rough first part of the song. I'm going from memory, but I think she did that tonight.

Archuleta looked like he was on a first date with that performance. Downright awkward.

I liked Cook, White, Johns and Castro (but F aggy). Chikezie had a great performance, but I don't think he has that extra bit of star quality. I liked Carly's arrangement, but I'm starting to get annoyed when she "unleashes". When she wails she is kind of whiny/raspy and isn't nearly as good as the other moments in her performances...

KLK - good country singer, but WTF was that arrangement?

If paula says NICHE one more time I'm going to throw her coke on her.

I think Carly and Brook were the best last night, followed by David Cook and Chikezie. Amanda and Michael Johns were next. Archuleta was the worst. How can this overly packaged kid forget the lyrics? Krist and David Hernandez were embarassing. Syesha was not good either - off key, nervous and boring, but still much better than the botton three.

Best were 1. Cook 2. Carly (although I don't like her and hope she does not win); 3. Brooke

Jason's song sounds a lot better if you listen to it a few times--actually all of his songs do. That's a good formula for recording. I think he will definitely succeed in music.

Archuletta.... that was awful. On that one song, he should go home, but I'm sure he has enough votes in his camp to survive.

If Brooke or Jason can break out into something impressive in addition to their very good folk stuff, either could make the finals. Otherwise, it's Cook and (I hope not Carly).

brooke white is my favorite so far. she is using a great innocent/sweet package which she is pulling off tremendously. i thought her rendition of "let it be" was the best performance of the night. hopefully she will make the final 4 and get a record deal out of this which wont be ruined by the producers.

Count me in the mix that doesn't like the Beatles as much as everyone else does. They have some good songs but a long of their songs suck. We worship them just because Boomers get all nostalgic and **** over them.

As for American Idol, there's no way that gay stripper was the worst. I wouldn't be surprised if the show rigged the vote total to purposely kick him off. Hell, even Kristy at the end thought she was getting the boot.

Something about Brooke is just so heartwarming and innocent. She's just adorable. I heart her.

Seriously, though, she is fantastic and is super cute and so 'real'. Archuletta was a freaking train wreck. It's sad that he just can't relate to the Beatles. He isn't going to be the next Idol. Ramiele sucks. KLK will stay on for a few more because she's hot.

You have to remember how many people only start watching when there are twelve contenstants. It really throws the voting out of whack as far as reward for performance consistency.

Still, I'm going with Carly as the next Idol. Her voice is insanely good.

Has anyone checked in on Jive Turkey? Is he doing okay this morning?

after that abortion of a performance, not surprised that Hernandez was gone.

plus, America didn't want a gay stripper as its American Idol.

another week of these singers butchering Beatles songs. great

Why would they do Beatles two weeks in row? If they wanted to do it twice they should do the second one near the end. Some of the themes get really bad towards the end.
