You are not a big Longhorn football fan, or at least not nearly as big a fan as you apparently believe. I am going to take you through a step-by-step explanation because you've made it readily apparent you probably need one:
.) The quarterback position is more associated with wins and losses than any other position on the field. This is fact. Hopefully you won't dispute this.
.) Vince Young is closely associated with Longhorn football. He references Longhorn football frequently. Everybody that follows football knows he's a Longhorn. See reason #1 regarding factuality.
.) Recruiting is the lifeblood of a college football program. See #1 and #2 regarding factuality.
.) Based on #1-3, Vince Young's performance in the NFL will have an impact on future Longhorn football success.
.) If your wish were to come true and Vince lost every game as a Titan, he would not last a season as a starter, he would be branded a bust, Longhorn football would be associated with a bust, and there would be no further opportunity for good publicity for Longhorn football via Vince Young.
.) Based on #4 and #5, you are actively wishing for a result that will be detrimental to the success of Longhorn football.
.) You are placing your loyalty to a business over your loyalty to a Longhorn football player and, by extension through the explanations above, Longhorn football. That is your choice and I will not begrudge you that choice. But it is patently absurd to suggest that you're as big a Longhorn football fan as anyone else here.
.) You can't claim to hold Vince Young as your favorite NFL player while simultaneously hoping he loses every game. You are hoping his career is a bust. More absurdity.
.) This is HornFans.com. Vince Young is a 'Horn. We are fans. Pretty simple, really.
.) This has nothing to do with the fact that you're not a big Longhorn football fan, but your attitude regarding the Texans is why franchises continue to underperform. Continuing to support a team with a poor front office with your time and money is not being a good fan. If everyone did what you do the Texans would have no motivation to improve. You are supporting a bad product and allowing them to remain profitable. As long as they remain profitable with a bad product they will continue to produce a bad product. Only by demanding improvement will improvement be achieved.
Finally, allow me to add this: He signed with Tennessee freakshow. Not that he grew up in Tennessee, and i am the idoit.
